Flawless Installation

(5 out of 5) by Ethan J. Waldman on Mar 12, 2009 (Ithaca, NY)
The RAM was perfectly compatible with my mid-2008 MacBookPro. One piece of advice- you need a Philips Size #00 screwdriver to open the door on the RAM compartment of the MacBookPro. I had to search all over town and eventually bought one at a small electronic supply store. Do yourself a favor and just order one at the same time if you plan to put this RAM in your MacBookPro.

As good as the Apple RAM....save yourself a ton of money!

(5 out of 5) by B. Metzger on Mar 15, 2008 (Michigan)
I purchased 2 sets of this RAM for 2 Mac Mini's. (Intel Core 2 Duo's) Works great, speed is great and the cost is way below Apple's price.
Tested 100% on both Mini's as well.

Great Ram. Would buy from again.

This ram is exactly what it says it is. When purchasing ram make sure all the numbers match up with your computer and take into account that many computers cannot utilized all of the ram's potential. For example, my current computer can only utilize a little over 3 GB of this ram, but a computer with a 64-bit processor would be able to utilize all 4 GB.

malfunction in 2 months

(1 out of 5) by Ming Hua on Aug 3, 2009 (Berkeley, CA)
Bought in May and the computer (Macbook) can't boot up in July. Memory malfunctioning.

Amazon refuse to provide service since its passed 1 month, and had to contact manufacturer for replacement. Initially, crucial asked me to pay for shipping back the product. After half an hour struggling on the phone, Crucial finally agreed to send me an UPS code. After all, I still have to find a package, print label, go to UPS and wait for a few days to get the replacement back. Definitely not what I expected.

People say Amazon has good customer service. In this instance, they didn't provide any help beyond giving me an 800 number. Note on this product, it says sold by Amazon, and didn't mention the return policy at all.

Perfect boost for my laptop

(5 out of 5) by R. Collier on Oct 19, 2009 (Santa Barbara, CA)
I bought this kit for my white 13" MacBook and I was not disappointed. Crucial produced high quality RAM that is still very affordable. The install was smooth and uncomplicated and haven't had a hiccup since installing the RAM two weeks ago. I went from 1 GB to 4 and it has made a world of difference. This kit is well worth the money.
