Worst Product EVER (Next to BOSS customer service)
The price was decent and there wasn't any negative feedback about this company or product so I purchased one. I had it mounted, it worked as advertised . . . until i tried to eject the disc. It needs to be coerced out by negotiating another disc into the slot at the same time.
Contacting Boss support, they wanted me to ship them the unit for repair at my cost, with a check for $15 for return shipping.
Amazon was kind enough to ship another unit . . . which had the exact same problem. I'm trying to see what options I have at this point, but scratching my son's Disney DVDs to get them back seems to be my only option.
------------------
The preamp voltage of the sound is rather low; my Alpine stereo needs to be turned quite high when watching a DVD.
------------------
The rear controls make the unit hard to "just turn on" on the road . . . it does pick up at last play location though, so you can put a disc in before you're moving, turn the unit off, then just power it up (remote or the power button) to just run the disc.
-----------------
In the end, it's not a cheap product, and you're taking a chance if you need to go through BOSS. Stick with known brands like Alpine, Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood, Panasonic and so on . . . newcomers to the mainstream just don't have the customer support to service customers and it's a waste of $300 . . . if you must buy something from them, do it through Amazon, since you've got some protection against out-of-the-box defects that will come out of your pocket, and leave you with a hole in your roof for a month.

I recomended It
I installed this Monitor plus CD in my Ford Escape, his screen is wide and shows a good image, I could not install the audio directly to car's radio, I had to put a device in way to listen to movies and iPod music trough the radio but there is some interference with the car engine noise, I am awaiting for a solution from my car sound service.
