I bought these for my personal office PC and they are everything I need as far as sound quality. I listen to iTunes, Pandora, other MP3 sources, CDs, watch DVDs (not on company time of course...well sometimes, I own the joint), basically every media requiring sound and I am totally happy with the quality. We have a fantastic sound system in our shop and listen to all kinds of music, satellite radio etc. and are very into music so I think we have a qualified opinion about what constitutes 'good sounding' speakers, though of course this is subjective; whatever you think is good is good. I did do a side by side with 6 different systems in this price range($20-$50)and have absolutely no buyer's remorse. As the above reviewer noted, they are very desk-friendly and look good. I went into my PC's sound settings and teaked the EQ and got the sound I like, good bass punch and crispy highs. After reading all the complaints about interfernce I called my cell phone from my cordless and vice versa, setting both phones on top of the speakers, and I got absolutely no speaker interference. Maybe the titanium plate in my head is blocking it, but seriously folks, none at all. 5 stars for great sounding speakers at a great price.

These speakers are great. I reacently used them for a presentation in a large banquet room. The music played with the slide show was clear and enjoyed by everyone. They were impressed by the quality sound. Best purchase on speakers I have ever made.

this is a very good system and it is not very expensive. the sound quality exceeded my expectations, and was well worth the price and more!

These speakers sound amazing and I am pretty picky on the sound. I love how this set gives such a good bass with the tiny sub that comes with it. I also like the Aux input because I have my computer and television hooked up to it (great for video games and movies). The only knock on them is they pick up some interference. If this is going to annoy you stay away but otherwise amazing sound system for under 50 bucks.

Very nice speakers. They provide very nice sound. Very loud and lots of nice bass. I usually just keep the volume half way and the treble and bass full blast and am very happy with the result. They dont take up much space and the added inputs are nice like the mic, mp3 player and headphones. I do wish with it came with wire to connect it to your mp3 player, but, not a really big deal. The price is great. Always happy with the altec lansing's speakers.
