Such a simple thing but what a great way to keep from frying your legs with your laptop. In the winter, I have used mine as a heat source, but in the summer, it can really be a challenge. This does the trick and look ma, NO BATTERIES!

This is just a basic piece of hard plastic with a padded cloth bottom. I expected a little better construction and better heat desipitation. It does okay, again, for basic plastic that just helps elevate the laptop for better ventilation. Should be cheaper too. May consider a fan one next time instead.

Well, their web site is still up. and they are still taking orders, they just no longer are shipping this product but simply taking peoples money

I got an xpad for my macbook pro. As far as keeping heat from my lap it works, which is why it gets one star. The problem is that a blanket or book can also do this. I got this product because I thought it would help keep my laptop cooler. It doesn't. It works no better than a book. So save yourself the $25 and use a small empty binder instead, it works just as well, and is about the same size. And that reminds me, the xpad is almost thicker than my notebook so unless you are using a briefcase computer from the 1980's, it is absurd to use.

took a month to get the product. they said they had too many orders to satisfy, but took 3 emails for them to even tell me that. they said they would credit my account $5 for waiting a month, and 2 weeks after they have said that, still no credit. do not buy from these people.
