great earbuds

(5 out of 5) by Gary C. Jensen on Oct 23, 2009
These are the best earbuds that I have used by far. They are comfortable and the sound quality is superb. They stay in my ears well, and they are well made of top quality materials. Rugged.

Old yet still very good

(5 out of 5) by Z. Li on Sep 27, 2009 (Houston, TX United States)
These in ear monitors(IEM) have been around for a couple of years now, but it is still comparable to most universal IEMs around. They were my first set of high end IEMs, and they were a HUGE upgrade compared to my Sennheiser CX500 and even the Bose headphones. As others have stated, you will hear sounds that you have never heard before when listening to your music, providing that the music quality itself is great. I don't have a high end audio system to test these out on, but I use it with my Macbook Pro and Ipod Touch, as well as converting my CD's to Apple Lossless audio quality, and they sound terrific. It does take some adjustments on your equalizer to find your style of sound, but these headphones sounds great with every type of music. Though some have mentioned that the highs are rolled off, it is nearly indistinguishable to the average ear. The mids are excellent and clear, whereas the bass is punchy.

I have since purchased a pair of UM3X by Westone, which came out quite recently, and the SE350s can still hang with those, for nearly half the price. If this is your first venture into high end audiophile land, these headphones will not do you wrong. The push to hear control is a plus, and is very usefull for when you don't want to take off your earphones or would just like to eavesdrop randomly(the microphone can capture sounds from quite a distance). It also comes with a wide selection of tips, so you will definitely find your fit (they are one of the best universal fitting IEMs).

Awesome Earphones

(4 out of 5) by Lloyd D. Lewis on Jul 7, 2009 (Iraq)
Great earphones. I bought these for air travel and they did not disappoint. Almost all background noise is blocked due to their earplug style configuration and the sound is superb. I do not use the included PTH adapter as I have little to no difficulty removing/installing these earphones to speak to flight attendants and I like to remain as electronic free as possible when traveling. I have traveled with many styles of headphones (most requiring batteries for noise canceling which these do not) and none have proven themselves to have the sound quality, comfort and compactness of these earphones. There are many more adapters and configurations available than I will probably ever use but as someone that never throws away a neat connector, adapter or gadget - this earphone package is simply awesome. The wires feel a bit flimsy and I expect to have issues with them over time as others have commented in their posts; otherwise I would have rated at 5 stars.

Great

(4 out of 5) by P. Daniel Cederberg on Mar 12, 2009 (Gnesta, Sweden)
I have tried a few different ear phones of this kind but never got satisfied. This time I got! :) too bad only that the cable are so crappy, it should be soft and nice silicone cables to match the pieces, otherwise great product. Really good sound och I like the way you wear it. The add-ons are also nice, PTH works really good, on eg aeroplane.

true reference sound in a compact masterpiece

(5 out of 5) by M. R. Maple on Mar 2, 2009
These buds rock! You'll hear so much more from your music, and you'll learn so much more if you are a music student. Fit system works every time, but keep in mind 99% of people prefer the foam inserts, so those are what you find most replacement caps in. I've used these buds for over a year and they still startle me with the clarity they produce.
