Looking around for a sub that would fit my budget for my Family room I found the Polk PSW111. This is going to be my 2nd sub, my main sub in my main room is a veloydne but the budget required me to look at other subs. The PSW111 does a great job on movie soundtracks, such as the canons in Master and Commander. The punch was right on and even a slight ringging of the canons can be heard after the shot. All in all a fine sub for the price. With coupon code WS901X5750 I was able to get the sub for $154.99 shipped at Electronics expo!

Bought this to be the sub for my monitor -70' + CS2 (newegg had an amazing deal going on these) since the paired PSW-125 was another monster and the WAF was treading low. Surprisingly this sub has delivered, havent been able to drive it with specific audio but overall during the HD shows this has been good.

I received this sub from Crutchfield at no cost. There was a deal where the sub was free if you spent a minimum dollar amount on Polk speakers. It worked out perfect because I am just finishing the basement and needed a second sub for the 7.2 surround sound. I also have the Polk PSWi225 wireless sub. So far I am very pleased. This sub by itself would not be enough for a large room but I would definately recommend it for a smaller room. The room I am setting up is 15' x 32'.

I purchased this Sub in January of 2008 and it worked great until about a week ago. The Sub stopped working and when I checked the fuse (1.6A 250V) just under the power supply, it had blown. I went to Radio Shack and picked up a 4 pack for [...] bucks and was on my way. When I replaced the fuse the sub never even came on, just blew the fuse right away, 2nd try same problem... off to the web I go to search for a bigger problem. I soon found that this is an indication of an internal component failure and not a rare problem at all.
I called Polk Customer Service / Support at 1-800-377-7655 and gave them the model number, s/n, and purchase date it was 2 years old. Eric from Polk told me the product has a 3 year warranty and asked for my address, turns out that they will ship a replacement back panel, 11 screws and unplug 2 wires and I'm back in business. The new part should arrive in a few days as both the shipping center and I are in CA.
If the repair gives me any trouble I'll update but if not, no news is good news. Thanks to Polk for doing the right thing... made my day.
Very Impressed

I got two of these for free at my local Frys for purchasing a certain amount of Polk Audio spearkers. I was kinda hesitant of wanting these because I didn't think 8" subs would give me the sound and power that I needed. Boy was I wrong, just one sub alone really impressed me with the amount of low frequencies it produced without giving me that rattling noises. I say I got a really good deal.
