Secure drive that is easy to setup and use

Jan 12, 2008 - By MJ (Richmond, VA)

I bought this device for several professional customers. The setup takes less than 5 minutes and there is no need to install any software on the computer, all encryption software is on the drive.

The login interface is simple and effective, this helps with technically challenged users. Highly recommend this for anyone that wants to transport secure information.

Works, but needs Admin Privileges

May 14, 2008 - By A. Tegtmeier

The encryption works very well, the set up is easy and quickly done. But I should have read the fine print more carefully. I encrypted the whole drive at home, but when I tried to use it at my work PC, it would come back with a message that there was no Attache drive found. After some investigation, I found out that for using the encryption function, although you don't need to install any SW, you still have to have Admin privileges on the computer - which they won't give me at work ... So, I only can use it on my home computers, which makes it rather useless for me, because this was supposed to be my "all the time carry around and don't worry if it's lost or stolen" memory stick. It works flawlessly with both XP and Vista, though, which is nice.
After some investigation, I decided to bite the bullet and pay 50 Bucks for a hardware encrypted device, that REALLY does not need Admin privileges (Kanguru Defender).

Great product!

May 27, 2008 - By Brian McMullan (Louisville, KY USA)

The built in encryption is much easier for people to manage than using "external" products like Truecrypt. So easy that they actually use it instead of trying to bypass (thank goodness). We've bought a bunch of them for our company and have very good results. No DOA units, no stability problems, they just work as advertised. I rank the product excellent overall.
