Once you get this you'll wonder how you ever lived without a TV in the kitchen!

I have this mounted in my kitchen and I love it because it is so versatile and useful.

Besides a TV & DVD player, this also includes a clock, a radio and the DVD player plays CDs! The remote control has a magnet for the fridge and the picture and sound quality is very good.

The LCD screen is able to swivel around. This is really convenient because I am able to see the TV screen from any part of my kitchen. And, the screen can also stow up when I'm not using it. This is also helpful because it saves me space (my toaster oven is right below the TV.) Who can't use more space in their kitchen?

Of course it's cable ready so once I hooked up a cable to the back of it I was able to get all of my TV channels. And if you have digital cable it will take a box or other components such as VCR's or DVD players.

I actually really wanted to get the RCA BLC524 Under The Counter 5.6" LCD TV because I am a very loyal RCA customer. But, that unit doesn't come with a DVD player. And I had a lot of difficulty finding it (I think it's discontinued, but besides that for some reason RCA products are getting more and more difficult to find.) TruTech was the perfect substitute for an RCA product. Who cares that it's a Target brand? It's just as good as the other big brands.

I have a traditional DVD burner in my bedroom. So I like to record my favorite shows on that and then watch them while I'm in the kitchen. Sometimes I even record my favorite cooking shows (Rach Ray and America's Test Kitchen are my two favorites) and then I watch them back in the kitchen while I attempt to prepare the recipes from those episodes. And this unit plays DVD-R's (not to mention the lesser-known DVD+R format, as well) perfectly, the quality is amazing!

If you're interested in getting a TruTech brand TV for your kitchen I recommend going directly to your local brick & mortar Target Store, directly. Because, if you go to the Target Web site you will pay more for it (compared to going to the store, directly.) I only paid $150. for mine (inclusive of tax.)

Once you get this you'll wonder how you ever lived without a TV in the kitchen!

A great product that's better than the competition.

I have had a TV in the kitchen for a long time, but it had a smaller screen and yet took up more room than this one that folds up when not in use. I received a GPX that looks very similar to this, but it worked for only an hour before it died. We took it back and got this one. Better features and picture plus a DVD player for the same price! We have used it for 3 months and still love it. Even the radio works well, which isn't always the case in these types of units. It does take it a few seconds to come on, but after that, switching between channels is normal.
Sound is very good for the type of unit that it is. I like the attention to detail, like the magnetic remote and the swival screen. It is very compact and has a sleek appearance. I highly recommend it.

Fabulous Find!

I am soooo happy with this little TV/DVD/CD/Radio! I've had it a couple of years now. I am in my kitchen more than any other room in the house throughout the day. This handy little machine installs and hooks up to cable easily and helps to make the kitchen chores not so dull. It has fantastic sound for such a small, little machine. I can even hear it over my mixer while it's on the highest speed. I love it so much that I want to buy another one for my sewing room!
