We purchased this receiver as a Christmas present for our daughter - her car stereo had a tape player but no CD player (let alone an iPod adapter). She wanted an upgrade. Since we had it installed, I have been very impressed. We bought (and had installed at the same time) the optional cable for iPod interface, and it is really, really cool. Plug the cable into your iPod, and leave it in the glove box since the iPod is now fully controlled by the receiver. You can scroll through all the normal iPod playlists, sort by artist, song, album etc... Very nice. Even charges the iPod when connected. The CD player works well with normal CDs, as well as those my daughter burns from iTunes on the computer. She is very happy, and now her stereo is the best feature of her car. And, of course, she gets terrific Alpine-quality sound whether listening to the radio or playing CDs or the iPod. Now I'm wondering if I should buy one for my wife's car!

No complaints about this one. Great price. Works with i-pod great. Easy to install. Best one for the money.
