Fantastic, fast, roomy and good encryption software bundled

(5 out of 5) by K. S. Roelandts on Jan 29, 2008 (Los Altos, CA)
Title says it all. This thing is the fastest thumb drive I've ever had. At 8GB its roomy for todays field of devices. And the encryption software that comes with it is easy to use and powerful. I only wish the 16GB model was as good a performer... but 8GB is already a large device. Worth the premium for the extra speedy performance.

GT Flash Voyager

So far this small piece of equipment has been great. Because of movie clips etc., I had to move up from a 1GB flash drive. The Corsair did the trick.

Error of Amazons ways

(4 out of 5) by G. Turner on Jan 19, 2009 (Dayton, Ohio USA)
I had ordered this particular flash drive for its capabilities of fast read/write times and memory size (8GB). Well Amazon had a code mismatch with the supplier Dolomite Enterprises. I had ordered the Corsair Flash Voyager GT, much to my disappointment I did not receive the "GT" I had wanted, I received a flash voyager standard (8GB) drive. With my initial intentions of wanting to load a complete Linux operating system on the drive I needed a drive with fast read/write capabilities. I called the supplier Dolomite Enterprises and spoke with the owner of the company and was told that the Corsair Flash Voyager GT model had been discontinued some time ago and offered me a reduced price for the drive that was shipped. The credit of the reduced charge was immediate. After speaking with the supplier my frustration had gone away and I was pleased with the personal service that Dolomite offered.I would recommend them for future purchases.

Flash Voyager GT 8GB

Good combination of speed and space makes the extra $ for the GT version worth it. Applications snap on the GT compared to my previous USB device (on my previous flash drive they were barely usable). Space gives me enough room for all my portable applications and data, including my full website with backup. I can now leave the laptop home much more often with access to computers that allow USB drives to run. (I use it regularly on 2 XP machines and 2 Vista machines without noticing any differences other than how Auto-Run starts)
