All The TV You Will Need!!
This Philips TV has been one of the smartest purchases I have made in a long time.I love pretty much everything about it.It's beautiful with it's shiny black bezel. It's got a great analog picture and an amazing HD picture. The sound is great to my ears.I love the delta sound feature. If you have a channel or imput that's low on volume, you can turn that one source up without affecting any of the other channels or imputs. What a great idea! The ambilight is a great feature you won't find on any other brand that I know of.The only thing I would change on it is the channel number displayed on the screen that appears when you push the numbers on the remote. My eyes have some trouble seeing the display on the tv telling me what channel I have pushed.I wished they had made the numbers larger so they could be seen easier. They appear blue in color. If there is a scene with alot of blue in it,it is difficult to even see the numbers. This is such a small inconvenience to me that I still rate the tv 5 stars.I urge anyone who is looking for true HD 1080P resolution and needs a large 47" screen to give this set a try.You will love it.Philips 47PFL7432D 47" 1080p LCD HDTV with Ambilight

Great TV!
This LCD is just a beauty. Its stylish look and glossy frame is just elegant. Will look great in any living-room. The anti-glare works great, considering the amount of light that comes into the room, no reflection of objects, walls, windows, or people.
The image quality is great over all. I have TimeWarner as my cable provider and I can only get 1080i with the digital box they provide. When getting good signal, the image is just as smooth as you'd want it to be. Image is very sharp and the colors are magnificent.
I was debating between this product and the Samsung 46" - 1080p. Considering that the Samsung was out for many months already and the Philips just came out in June 8. Assming that technology would be better, since its more recent and going by specs, i think this TV does not disappoint in any kind of way.
The sound is very good, considering its coming from an LCD. To get the best out of sound and video quality you'd have to use HDMI cables. The sound that comes from an HDMI cable doesn't even compare to the others. The sound and image is excellent with those cables. I got them also from Amazon for 1 cent, though the shipping was $5.
Over the TV is great. I would recommended to anyone that enjoys watching sport on HD and movies (with the Ambilight...cant forget video-games lovers. I have the Wii and it looks great with it, and its just 480i with the component cables; cant imagine how sweet it would look with an Xbox 360 or even a PS3.

WARNING to all who may buy this HDTV...
I shopped for months looking for the best feature set, quality, and look for the price - and this is the set I ended up with. Two months later, I still love this TV. The picture is fantastic and X-Box 1080p HD looks completely mindblowing. I still only have a Samsung upconverting DVD player, but even those movies/shows on DVD look fantastic.
Also, the Ambilight and swivel base give this set a cool and functional edge over other units costing much more.
The only problem is that with this new set you may find yourself watching all of your old DVDs again (just to see how they look). Plus, if you have lots of HD cable channels like me, you find yourself watching EVERYTHING just to see what visual wonders your new set will kick out today.
The end result? Expect your couch to have a large, permanent imprint from where your backside is constantly planted. Buyer beware...this set will turn even the most active person into a total couch potato!

Great TV !
This is my first big screen I've owned. Its a great TV, great quality sound, video.
Few negative key points though -- the TV takes about 10 seconds to turn on from the moment you press the on button. Secondly, when you're flipping through channels I like the kind of TV that flips through channels instantly not with a 2 second lag, other than that the TV is awesome!
One thing I absolutely love is the Ambilight feature. Its awesome watching movies and having a nice dark room and dark setting with the ambilight feature on. And you can choose how you want it, whether you want it dynamic, relaxed or moderate. Its a great feature for an LCD.

Love this TV!
This is a great addition to our home. It has really changed the way we watch movies. We already had a surround sound system, but we were missing the fantastic screen. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to watch movies or sports.
