I had this unit for just over 4 months before it was stolen out of my vehicle. It was installed in a 2003 Tahoe and sounded great even before I changed out the factory speakers. Motorized tilt screen came in handy to prevent sun glare. User friendly controls added to ease of control for dual zone functions so kids could watch one thing in the back and I have something else up front. Great audio controls with ease of access to Ipod and installed Sirus radio. Only downfall was I lost steering wheels controls for volume when installed.
Installed in 95 GMC Sonoma
Anyone who has tried to install a double din unit in a Sonoma should immediately get therapy.
I had to make a mold to heat form a whole new dash panel for this unit to fit politically correct out of 1/4 inch poly panels. 2 heat guns to heat soak the sharp bends and narrow approach to edge of screen. It needs a little clearance so screen can move.
But the cruise through Germany's Autobahn watching the 'Blue Man Group' concert @ 120 mph was the hit of the day.
It has more video inputs & outputs for dedicated cameras for rear view, and a ton of other options.
I can't see any con's on this unit from all I have explored. The screen is adjustable to any angle, so some may have missed this option with the sun shining. Oh Well.
It comes with a sophisticated remote that still needs review, but I dought Kenwood lacked any functions to make it a hit.
Now that the price is coming down at some vendors, you might as well get a couple of them so one can be in the cutty cabin on the lake. You know how women get after a few cocktails on the powerboat. Bring plenty of fireworks
