I have owned this unit for about a month, so I am still learning all the functions. I am very impressed with this shelf-sized player. I cannot detect any defects in the sound, in fact, the sound is excellent, much better than the single-CD player it replaces. The bass boost feature gives a dramatic presence to the sound, and the speakers flash blue lights to the rhythm of the music when the boost is activated. The am/fm tuner was logical to program, I inputted 19 stations in just a few minutes. The reception through the antennas is very good on both am and fm. The dual-cassette feature is a major reason I chose the Sharp player because I wore out my previous dual-cassette deck and I have a quantity of cassettes I like to play. I am getting accustomed to the operation of the cassette decks, but they have many useful features. The 5-CD changer works flawlessly and makes an impressive sound when changing discs. The remote is simple to use. I have yet to set the clock, but it looks pretty easy. This player has grown on me and is a pleasure to listen to. The price was right, and by chance the unit fit my shelf perfectly. Altogether the purchase was a good one.
