I really wanted this air purifier to be the right one. Unfortunately, this air purifier is LOUD, which gets annoying after a while. You can hear the motor noise and the wind it creates. It's a pretty little fan, so no wonder it's so loud. If you're worried about noise, I wouldn't get it. I don't know how well it really purifies the air either because after 3 days of using it, I didn't notice any dust on the filters... It looks good and the price is right, but it's not quiet and its effectiveness is uncertain.

I ordered this filter as a replacement for one that finally died (different manufacturer). It works great, takes up very little floor "footprint" space, and even at at full speed (two settings only on the model I purchased), it's doesn't bother me. It's very lightweight and easy to move from room to room, if needed; you can pick it up with one hand and carry it. The filter releases easily from the unit, and while I haven't needed to clean it yet, the instructions make the process seem extremely easy.

I've got pets (one is on meds for respiratory issues) so this purifier MUST work well--so far, it's terrific. Highly recommended!

Within 24hrs of plugging it in I noticed a dramatic change in the air. I'm getting allergic to my cats and this has definitely helped out. Very quiet an easy to move around if need be. There was a little metallic smell at first but it went away after 48 hours. I use this in my front room and it does a good job on the main floor of my house, which is only 950 sq/ft. Highly recommended.

I bought this for two reasons: one, to get rid of some of the allergens and dust from the air; and two, to help get rid of the cigar smoke in the house. I smoke cigars, and even with windows open it takes forever to clear the air of the smell. While not perfect, this does help with both. The fact the filter is washable and permanent was a big selling point for me. The house smells a bit better for it as well.

We bought this for our 12X15 computer room. I smoke and it is the only room in the house where this is allowable.
No filters to replace, whisper quiet on low setting and the air stays fresh. This unit is an ozone ionizer - this does not produce a harmful 'gas', (as suggested in a previous review.) Dust and smoke is trapped in the electrically charged metal fins of the main filter and the dispelled air molecules are altered by the current - much like the air after a freshening rain storm.
There is a pre-filter which traps larger particles. It can be cleaned with water. The main filter can be vacuumed clean. If it becomes too dirty you can soak it in soapy water.
No replacement of filters is needed ! Hi speed creates a mild humming but in this smaller room we always have it set on low.
We are completely satisfied with this product.
