Great Home Theater with USB functionality, Great Value

(5 out of 5) by Ash on Oct 23, 2008 (South Florida)
I've own this product for over a year, and it was one of the best decisions I've made. I was initally looking at the lower end home theater systems, around hundred-dollar price range, but have had no regrets spending a little more for quality.

I use this most for playing DVDs, and watching movies from the USB disk input. I generally use a USB thumb drive, but plugging an external USB hard drive into this slot works as well. You can use the remote to scroll through folders to find and play your music and movies.

I'm not an audio-phile, but the surround sound sounds great to me. I always jump when I hear a door creak from one of the rear speakers. :)

Setup was easy, everything is color-coded and labeled well.

Highly recommend!

Great product, no questions

(5 out of 5) by Isaac Smith on Aug 10, 2008 (Montana)
Alright, I am an audiophile and love to tweak stuff all the time to get a perfect setup. I have a lot of experience with car audio but not much with home audio. I knew when buying this product that it doesn't have a lot of tunability on the EQ curves but it was cheap and everyone said it sounded good. I decided to give it a try. Well, I love it. It sounds great and I don't have to always mess with a bunch of stuff to make it sound nice. It is also really easy to install. If you can't install it, you are an idiot because everything is color-coded. I literally put the speakers where I wanted them and plugged them in to the right places and I was watching a movie. Very easy to use. I also like the hack so I can watch international DVD's with no problems. I have connections in South America for certain movies and it is nice to be able to watch them on the DVD players. It looks good, puts out ample bass and sound great. I paid a total of $100 including shipping for this setup and I couldn't be happier. If you can find one for cheap, definetely pick it up.

unbeatable value

This thing was worth every single penny period. It is very loud, and it has many great features. I love that it has an HDMI output, it really helps in up converting standard definition DVDs. This thing has other great features, such as an Auxiliary input, Ipod dock, and USB port. The remote is easy to use and has a great layout. All of the speakers are labeled, and the wires are colour coded, so anyone can set it up without any problems.

If you are looking for an all in one box set up, this is it. 11 months later I can honestly say, I would buy this again without hesitation.

great system for the money

Great system. Big Bang for your buck. Sound is more than adequate for the normal listener. Set-up is easy if you read the book. If you want an extended warranty, buy it at Amazon..it's about half the price of Philips.
