Quality LCD
I recently bought this 32in LCD after comparing it against the 32in LCDs from Sony and Samsung. It has turned out to be a great choice. The picture quality in HD is amazing and I think very comparable to the Samsungs. Also, the Standard Definition picture is quite good even when stretched. It looks great with the black glossy finish and the built in speakers are not bad. All in all, great quality for the price even when compared to the higher end Samsungs.

great TV with inexpensive price and low power consumption
**UPDATE below!
My parents would like to have a decent 32-inch LCD TV in their new bedroom. After some research, i finally decided to buy this 32" Toshiba TV REGZA LCD TV from Amazon for $700.44 last month (NO tax plus FREE shipping, hell yeah!). It was delivered by a special company to ensure that the TV would be delivered safely. (I forgot the company's name, but it was NOT UPS, Fedex or DHL. They will set the TV up for you and check if any problems would occur. **I'm NOT sure if everyone can get this service.) Since then, my parents have been very happy with this LCD TV. My father really enjoys watching college football on it.
Right now, we only use HD antenna instead of cable or satellite services. We can watch CBS, ABC, CW, KCAL and most major channels in 720p or 1080i. Although it does NOT support 1080p (will scale down to 720p), but the picture quality is clear, sharp and bright. You can see nearly every details on a person's face, such as wrinkles. Picture quality is without question. With proper color calibration, picture will be even better!
****Here is a list of the PROS I found on this TV:
- Low power consumption (101W). Most other 32-inch LCD made by other brands are in the 150W to 190W range, which is MUCH higher. I think this is a VERY important advantage, because this TV could cost a lot less in the long run.
- UPDATE about low power consumption (2008-01-26):
OK, so I tested the power consumption on this TV. It is great! Back light level is the key to power consumption. I set back light level to 37, and the power consumption is around 80 Watts! If set back light level to FULL brightness, it will be around 150W. If set to ZERO, it will be only 47W. But of course you don't want to set it too high or too low. Google "TV calibration" for more information!
- Inexpensive price (compare to Sharp, Sony, Samsung with about the same spec, it is considerably cheaper)
- High picture quality (clear, sharp and bright)
- 3 HDMI ports
- ATSC/NTSC/QAM TV Tuners
- good looking (maybe not the most beautiful ones, but definitely NOT the ugliest one)
- Large view angle
- decent sound quality from built-in speakers. I'm not a expert in sound, I can't comment too much about the sound quality. But speaking of the sound volume, this TV should be enough for any situations. The volume can be set between 0 to 100. 30 is already too loud in the bedroom...
The only problem we have with this TV is that it does not have a swivel stand. This is not a big deal though, all we need to do is to turn the whole thing, including the stand. This shouldn't be a problem for most people.
This TV has more than what my parents need, since they only use HD antenna and no gaming. We are not sure how well would this TV perform with gaming. Overall, the picture it offers is amazing, plus it has LOWER power consumption than other 32-inch LCD TVs.
We really think it is a great product. Highly recommended.

Excellent TV
This is my first HDTV. After reading reviews upon reviews, this Toshiba 37" kept popping up. Since we watch most TV in the bedroom, this is where this model was to be placed. We still have a 11 year old Sony 26" CRT in the den.
This Toshiba is sweet. Beautiful picture, excellent sound qualities, multitude of inputs, and easy to operate. Now, I want the 42" model for the den.
Don't go any smaller than this. It will look huge at first, but after a few hours of watching, you'll love this size, especially in a bedroom.

Toshiba Regza is a bad choice!
My Toshiba Regza 32HL67U had the screen go dark just after the warranty period. The inverter board failed. No one sells the board alone. Toshiba service is a joke! The inverter is integral to the LCD screen and it would cost up to two times the cost of the new unit to replace. I will never buy another Toshiba and I am a true believer in "word of mouth" advertising.

Best budget HDTV
For those who is picking up their first LCD, this is a must buy! At first, I was leaning towards Samsung 32" LCD line up, but I was stun when I compare that to this. There was no difference in quality. The price was the first thing that attracted me! $150 less than the Samsung's. I plug in my PS3 and I was surprise it can display 1080p. Kindof odd when the box clearly said it can go up to 1080i. Same thing happened when I plug in my PC with HDMI. Like any recent LCD/Plasma, they come with a built in HD tuner. Plug in an antenna and you should get HD local channels for free.
Main reasons I think you should buy it
1 - $700 - same quality as the Samsung LNT3253H except $150 less.
2 - 3 HDMI outputs
3 - possible of outputting up to 1080p (PS3, Blu-ray, Xboxx 360, PC)
4 - Slick and simple design
For gamers out there, I experience no ghosting when playing my PS3/360
