Everything works fine. Plenty of power in a compact unit. Needs
a better FM antenna.

Sony Mini Hi-Fi stereo
The mini stereo system arrived in excellent condition in original packaging. It works as well as I expected for the size and price. I had looked at much smaller shelf systems in the same price range, but chose this mini system primarily because it can hold 3 CDs/mp3s and had much better speakers. The receiver picks up more radio stations than the larger stereo system that it replaced.

4 stars but only because of the price
I needed a new cd changer, so bought this one based on other reviews. It's not bad, and I trust Sony quality, but the sound is just not good enough. To get sufficient bass you have to turn the volume up way too high. I had to ditch the speakers and run it through a 3 pc. speaker system to get satisfactory sound quality.
BUT, for the price it's certainly all you can expect.

There is nothing mini about it!
This stereo system is awesome! I bought it for my 12 year old son, sort of a "coming of age" Christmas present. Well, he does not even have the volume past three and I have to tell him to turn it down!!!
It is clear as a bell with Cd's too. Very Powerful for any age music lover! The price is a steal for this very impressive system. I would highly recommend it anyone.

Just what I was looking for
In a small studio that I work to keep uncluttered, I was looking for a "bookshelf" unit to integrate with PC components at the head of my desk. I wanted to be able to play CDs as well. The size of the main unit was just right. FM sensitivity in this weak area is good without outside antenna; the speakers mounted separately work the room well. All this and the cost was quite modest; I am very pleased.
