It's a great digital camera
I got the item that I wanted at a reasonable prize. There are large selection of cameras which are within the reach of different income groups. That is the greatness of Amazon. The rating of sellers gives the customer confidence to purchase the item from them. I already purchased several items, like the Panasonic digital camera, recharbeable batteries, Thoshiba laptop and a laptop bag from Amazon. Any things I need I will go to Amazon only.

Great Specs but not to the mark
I got this camera for my family, I read the specs and was impressed, but when i took the initial snaps they were of no great quality. The resolution was preety bad as compared to 7 mp camera and lcd screen is of no great quality. Overall its not a good experience for me.

First Day Review - Not Impressed
Today is my first day with Camera. Still to explore many features. But First day opinion is Not Impressed. Photos are a bit dark. Night mode adds lot of blurr.
Will explore this for 2 more days before returning it.
But Amazon service is fast. I opted for two day shipping but I got it in one day. The Amazon packaging is bad.
Will edit this review after 3 days after exploring for some more time.

Total Disappointment
At first sight, i loved its price, its look and i was gonna buy a panasonic at all so i went for it.. But the picture turned into a horror movie instead of "Love Story" once i have it in my hands.. Its lcd is horrible, memory is very small that in the first 10 mins of my NY trip, it got full, and the machine is not able to take "visible" pictures at all. And also its "impossible to reach" navigation menu... oh boy.. beware at all cost.. :(
LOVE this camera!!
Spur of the moment purchase turned out to be best purchase! I never buy ANY electronics without doing major research (reading all these reviews on Amazon) and cross checking prices. However, in May of 2007, my Pentax Optio died 5 days before I was leaving for Hawaii. I needed a new camera asap. I had a $200 budget and I wanted the camera to have a minimum of 5x optical zoom. This was the ONLY camera that met those requirements (at my local Best Buy). I was very leary of buying a panasonic product (personal past history was NOT good), but I was in a bind so I bought it...best gamble I've ever taken.
I read the manual that night while waiting for a concert to begin...I especially love the greats pics I took at that concert. I have several friends who have since bought Panasonic lumix cameras based on my pics. My Hawaii pics were also fantastic and a great opportunity to explore the many "scene" options on this camera.
I highly recommend this camera. It is very simple to use (my mother now has the same one and she loves it too) and it takes AA batteries which is a HUGE plus. It will take (good quality) videos for as long as you have memory available. My one complaint would be that when you play back the "movies" on the camera it does NOT have sound...it records sound, but does NOT play it back...no speaker.
I have just ordered the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 (same budget, same requirements) and it should get here tomorrow...just in time for another concert...I'll let you know how much I love the new one in a couple of months.
