I am so excited about this camera - it has all the bells and whistles and is so easy to use.

Although there is a description of this camera, it takes some careful reading to find that it has NO VIEWFINDER. While this is not a problem some of the time, any picture you try to take in moderate to bright sun is hopeless. There is no way to shield the large screen, so you just point and hope for the best. The reason for the missing viewfinder is the technical configuration to allow it the 10X optical zoom - which is wonderful. I think Panasonic should mention the viewfinder at the beginning of the description of this camera.

This Camera was really amazing not just because it can take High Quality Pictures. I also like the 10x ZOOM because you really don't have to get close to the subject to take pictures and you can even ZOOM up to 60x in Macro Mode but make sure you have a tripod when taking pictures on High ZOOM (7x to 10x), 60x ZOOM in Macro Mode or else you will get really blurry pictures even if you used IS (Image Stabilization) it doesn’t matter you will still get blurry Pictures and also it is hard to find a Camera Bag or Case on this Model if you want the Case made by Panasonic it is just like buying a 4GB SD Card because their Camera Bag or Case is over price that’s why I give 4 star for the Case it’s hard to find and the problem of High Zoom (7x to 10x) without using Tripod.

I had the first version of this camera, the TZ1, which was great and we used that primarily for taking video clips of the babies. And occasionally for taking photos (have a SLR as the main camera). The TZ1 got dropped on the floor couple weeks ago and the LCD display was trashed. So I came here and ordered the TZ3 thinking it should be a much better version. I was dead wrong. It won't let me zoom in/out when taking videos, whereas the TZ1 was able to! I don't understand why Panasonic will make such a stupid change. The TZ3 is promptly returned to Amazon, and I grabbed a new copy of the TZ1 from eBay!

I've got one these. THe best thing about this is the zoom. the picture quality is pretty good, very bright. there are a lot of features, including a pretty easy tv out. the AA battery makes this very convenient for power supply. however, unless you've got a fast SD card, taking pictures lags a little. also, you can't zoom in video...
