(1 out of 5) by Roland A. Brawner on Jan 15, 2009My first GX99 was dead on arrival. The second one had a defective woofer, would not turn on. Now, after 8 months, this one has crapped out.
It will turn on and immediately go into standby mode with a flashing I/O button. Yes, I have tried all the steps to 'reset' and such, hours on the phone with Sony support, only to find out I have to ship the entire system to Laredo, TX to have it fixed under warranty. Plus, I have 3 CD's stuck in the &*%# thing!! This is the last of my Sony stereos. Even though it sounded terrific when it was working, the former Sony quality is no longer there. I am VERY disappointed!!
