This stereo is sweet! Not many other words could describe it better! I was very lucky and fortunate to come across one at a Best Buy sitting on a 50% off clearance table. It was an open item because it was the previous floor model so it had been slightly used but that didn't affect the performance whatsoever. It had a price tag for 299.99 but since it was on that table I talked the salesman down to $150. He kept trying to not give me the 50% off discount! And I can see why now, this thing totally rocks! Mine is last years model with the double cassette player rather than this years model with the ipod dock but that's the least of my worries. If you really want something to shake the entire house (and in the fall, I'll be shaking the entire dorm building, Yeahhhh!!) this is a must. Hopefully you can score a sweet deal on one too!

I ALWAYS SAID I WANTED A LOUD STEREO SYSTEM. WELL, I GOT IT. I PLAYED IT OUTSIDE UNDER MY PATIO AND HAD SEVERAL NEIGHBORS INQUIRE ABOUT WHERE DID THE MUSIC COME FROM. IT HAS CLEAR AND EXCELLENT SOUND FROM THE SUBWOOFERS. YOU GET ALOT OF SOUND FROM 720 WATTS. THE WALLS WERE SHAKING IN MY HOME. VERY SATISFIED AND WOULD BUY ANOTHER ONE IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO THIS ONE.

Very true that the box is massive, it is hard to believe that it is just a "mini" system. It is big and heavy, but the sound is impeccable and it is very loud. I have it in my dorm room and it can shake the room! The sound is crisp no matter what the volume is. I have it hooked up to my computer and my tv/xbox and movies and games and everything just sounds fantastic. When I ordered I didn't know how long the cords were, the rear speakers have cables that are very long, 20 feet at the least, probably more like 30. The front speaker cable are not as long, more like 10 or 12 feet. I had to extend one of the front speaker wire, but it was no big deal and there was no loss in sound. If you are considering this or a cheaper system, go for this, it is worth it! The bass and clarity of sound is impeccable. You won't regret it!!!

i think the best part of this system is that it is advertised as a mini shelf system. in reality, there arent many shelves it will actually fit on. the four massive 22cm speakers allow for great sound and great bass, which in all honesty, was exactly what i was looking for, BASS. putting out 720rms is quite impressive. i bought this system for my dormroom last year and when i had the x-groove on (bass option), you could hear and feel the bass down the hall and 4 floors up. it was no joke. for those who love purity of sound and great bass, this system will fit your every need. just make sure you can find a good place for the head unit cuz the thing is massive. now that sony came out with a 1000rms system, i will most definitely be looking to invest in one of those. great systems, two thumbs up!!

Massive box (4.5' x 2' x 2' roughly), Very large main unit. The sound is incredible, tons of great features and sound control. Powerful, crisp, and flexible. 4 speakers can be used for surround sound, or stacked horizontally or vertically . Everything you could want in a "minisystem", with great, loud sound. Holds its composure well at high volumes. Just make sure you have a wagon/hatch/minivan type vehicle when buying/picking up!
