The Celestron 21061 Astromaster is a high quality telescope for beginners. I purchased the telescope for my 6 year old son. He absolutely loves it and we have spent every night since exploring the stars and moon. The tripod is very sturdy and of high quality. I highly recommend this product.

Basic but really nice telescope for terrestrial and celestial viewing. If you're on a budget (and who isn't?) this is a good way to go.

This was a Christmas present for my 9 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. My husband assembled it Christmas Eve and it was very easy to assemble (so he tells me). We are not telescope experts, but this one is great for us because it's easy enough to use that our daughter can do it by herself.

This is a great Telescope! For the price that I paid I was amazed when I received this item. I could not have asked for something better. The only problem I had was, I paid extra to have the item delivered faster but I did not get it when it should have been.

Good price but not impressive viewing. Better to be used as a binocular. It doesn't magnify very well and gets very frustrating to use. Would not recommend.
