Great big case for my Sony Vaio AW - 18.5 inches

(5 out of 5) by Davi on Feb 28, 2009 (Los Angeles, CA)
I needed a case to fit my Sony Vaio AW (18.5 inches) laptop. At first I thought this case was too big (it is meant to hold 20 inch laptops), but after using it a couple times, the size doesn't bother me at all...it's actually preferred. It's wide enough in which I've fit my 17inch dell laptop and 18.5 inch sony laptop in the case at the same time! So with the extra width what else do I use it for....I can fit in binders, lots of documents, or a jacket, and all sorts of things. It's spacious enough in which I can throw everything inside quickly when I'm in a rush... there's always extra space :)

For traveling I can rely on this as my carry on bag instead of holding both a laptop bag and a backpack or suitcase.

If there was an 18.5 inch version of this bag would I buy it over the 20 inch? I actually would go with 20 inch.

I guess once you've entered the 18.5 inch realm, the difference between an 18.5 inch bag and 20 inch bag is minimal....it's a big freakin' bag either way!

My only dislike is the bag won't stay upright when placed on the floor. I assume to accomplish this it would require reinforcements that could lead to a heavier bag...so I'll take the lighter weight bag and deal with it always needing to be leaned up against something or laid flat.

The case is definitely great quality too. I would recommend this to anyone who is in the market for a 18.5 inch laptop or larger.

Great Bag and Price

(5 out of 5) by D. S. Gerard on Aug 17, 2008 (St. AUhgustine, FL)
Tried three different bags to accomadate a large 20 inch HP HDX Notebook, this was the best by far. Cheapest, best fit, sensible, even attractive with the leather flap. Rugged and spacious. If you have one of these jumbo laptops it is the best way to lug it around. It is not suitable as airplane luggage only personal carry on type.

Great for new breed of 18.4 Notebooks!

(5 out of 5) by PlusOne on Jan 19, 2009 (Houston, TX United States)
Good quality bag with many pockets. Front pocket is molded,so it will hold items and its shape without caving in and looking ugly. Zippers have eyelets so you can use a baggage lock.

Inside there is a files pocket and cd/dvd pocket, a long rectangular velcro pouch for the powersupply brick.

My only complaint is the extra 1.6 inches of width inside the case once everything is strapped in. Leaving this gap unfilled, my laptop would slide L/R. I then took some bubble wrap and rolled it like a fruit roll up to fill up the extra space.

Love the bag's look, features, functionality and Price!

(5 out of 5) by S. Avjian on Dec 12, 2008 (Las Vegas, Nevada)
I have the new sony vaio 18.4" laptop. I have searched high and low to find a bag to accomodate the laptop. This bag is great and professional enough to take to meetings. I am so glad that google search returned this bag to me on amazon.

Perfect for the dragon !!!

(4 out of 5) by T. Meeks on Aug 5, 2008
I was looking for a bag to lug around my HP 20 inch Dragon laptop, and I found it in this bag. My laptop is right at home inside this study bag. It had enough pockets and compartments for all of my laptop accessories and the shoulder strap is strong. I recently carried it on my flight to Orlando as a carry-on, and it performed beautifully. If you buy this bag for a 19 - 20 inch laptop, you will be happy. Just remember, it's not a backpack, so it can get heavy to carry on your shoulder; but otherwise, it's perfect.
