A rising star

Sep 20, 2007 - By Lynn D. Walther (Surprise, Az. USA)

I build computers as a hobby. I tried three seperate Motherboards before I found one that was not only compact in size but extremely powerful. I use two memory cards bringing the memory up tp 2048 mb. I will match this up with a 64 X 2 Dual Processor with the results being an extremely quick and highly reliable desktop computer. I cannot say enough about the products that are being manufactured by Biostar. A job very well done by their
Engineers and their Corporation.

Still got an AGP card? This is the mobo for you!

Jul 23, 2008 - By Michiko "Strawberry" Yutsumi

There isn't much to say about this mobo. It's a very simple and inexpensive motherboard for the ones who need a very cheap and simple computer or some you'd like to revive their AGP Card with a Motherboard that supports SATA + AMD X2. Not to mention, if you have an old IDE harddrive/CD burner, you could add that too without any hassle.

The reason why I mention simplicity in mind is because it boasts an onboard 64mb memory, just enough to render your desktop applications.
I personally installed my old XFX Geforce 6800 XT AGP on it and it roars like a charm again. I stuffed in an AMD X2 5000+ Black Edition with 2GB PNY Optima on Windows XP. Overclocked it a little to 3 Ghz and it runs faster than my Quad Core! I had a case, harddrive and CD rom ready for this setup so I spent less than $200 on a system than runs radiculously smooth. Dual Core still holds strong and this is a good motherboard to build up for the average user and/or light gamer.
