No frills and loving it!

(5 out of 5) by Gary M. Prochorchik on Jan 29, 2009 (Las Vegas, NV USA)
This basic, no frills keyboard is superb! The key action is unlike any except other Keytronics keyboards and the key layout just plain works. It's much better than the OEM laptop-style keyboards shipping with most computers these days. With a lifetime warranty, I expect to have this keyboard around for a while.

Recommended: Very High Quality Keyboard

(5 out of 5) by Edward J. Zohn on Dec 11, 2008 (New Jersey, USA)
I believe that keyboards with ergonomic layouts (curved, angled, ridged, etc.) are overrated, especially if the keys have a poor tactile quality. I am no expert on the subject, but I think that if you are disciplined about the way you hold your hands when typing, and use a decent wrist rest, you will avoid many problems that a sloppy typing style would otherwise create. That said, overall keyboard quality and tactile feedback are very important to me in a keyboard, and in this, the Keytronic Lifetime series is great. The keys have the right amount of travel and great tactile feedback. I think they are good-quality mechanical switches, and they are designed to last for 20 million presses each. The newer Keytronic Lifetime keyboards have "ergo" technology in which keys have different levels of force, depending on the strength of the finger intended for the key. This works well. When combined with a "platform" wrist rest, it feels great, and I can type all day (which I do). On occasion, I am a little light on the shift keys with my pinkies, resulting in a lower case letter rather than an upper case letter, but that is probably my style more than the keyboard's fault.
