Customer Service is horrible
I bought this product a few months ago and it worked fine until I moved it to another room and that is when the drama started. Long story short this will charge you $3.50 a minute for technical support and you have to get a call back at their convience. This has been a huge disappointment and I've never been treated so horribly by a company.

Greate Value, So Far
The set up was very easy. It is full featured, including firewall, DMZ, time-based access control, etc. So far it has been solid as a rock.

Works Flawlessly
This is an excellent product from Belkin. I did have problems setting it up and initially I thought it was because I had Windows Vista. This router's instructions are not really for Windows Vista since it was released before Vista. I ended up installing it on a laptop with Windows XP and still had problems, which led me to discover the real issue was my cable modem not working at the time of installation (sometimes you need to just restart your cable modem and the wireless router so they sync up with each other, too). Once the modem came back, the router worked just fine on every laptop with wireless that I logged on with, including the one with Vista. I use the router predominantly with a Vista laptop and never have had any problems since setting the router up that were actually related to the router. The only time I experience drops is when my cable modem is not working.
The signal is excellent. I use the router upstairs, and when I take my laptop downstairs the signal only drops one bar but I still surf the net with no complications or drops. I also have my iPod Touch on the wireless network, too, and it works well with that.
The installation CD that comes with it is basically unnecessary, it seems, except for helping you set up a security password so others can't get on your network. You can hook computers without wireless into the back of the router, allowing for their connection to your cable modem. The connections of all our computers are basically as fast as they were before.
So far, this has been a great buy--no problems at all. I have had irritating routers before, including my last one from Belkin that seemed to need to be reset every so often in order for my laptop to connect to the internet. Not with this router--money well-spent for a cheaper router that still gets the job done.

Simple, Easy and it works (can't ask for more than this)
This was as simple and painless of an installation as you could want, and it works flawlessly. This router was installed on a 20" Imac running 10.4.11, and the wife's wireless computer is a G4 Ibook. This was less than a 25 minute installation, from out of the box, to having a wireless working connection.
Some history. I have been through 2 previous routers, and this Belkin is the simplest to install and get up and running.... 2 weeks now and not one problem.... no reason to call for assistance, unlike the other two which needed help in the install process and beyond, way beyond.
My best advice.... never ever purchase a D-Link product. D-Link Stinks. They have no customer support whatsoever.... NONE!, just an automated phone system, a 40 minute waste of time, then a message stating "due to heavy call volume, we are unable to take your call at this time, thank you, goodbye!" You get that message no matter when you call, at least for the four days I tried before I threw their router in the trash...
My second best advice..... avoid Lynksys, but not for the same reason. At least they answer the phone. Contacting them is easy, and there is not wait, but all their technical support is in India or in the Philippines. I spent the better part of 3 days trying to get the Lynksys router working talking to "Minnie Mouse" in the Philippines, or "Sam" in Pakistan before I realized that I knew more about a Mac than both of them combined, and that they were never going to help me establish a maintained connection. I will admit, I am in my 60's and my hearing is not so good, but I honestly don't think I understood half of what they were saying.
Then I bought this little beauty, and life once again is pleasant..... My wife has wireless internet while she sits and watches her home and garden programs on TV, and I can work in peace on my computer in my room.
Thank you Belkin, and especially for making it affordable.
