Love this thing

(5 out of 5) by Valued Customer on Nov 26, 2009 (Daytona Beach, FL)
The only problem i had with it was the size of it. it blocked out one of my other usb ports on my computer. got around that particular problem with a simple usb extension cable. ^-^ Other then that, it works great even without the utility it comes with. just plug in and your off and running. absolutely amazing. would tell anyone who wants a simple to use, easy wireless usb adapter to pick this up for the price.

Good upgrade for old desktop

(4 out of 5) by Fervently Web on Oct 30, 2009 (Midwest, USA)
Good way to get an old desktop with Windows XP onto the home Wi fi network. Don't need to have the wireless modem physically near the desktop and use an ethernet cable to connect the two. Our old desktop doesn't get used that often - but when we do need to use it, the wireless connection is handy.

Minor issues:

Each time the device is plugged in the device seems to connect and disconnect a couple of times to the network before finally settling into a stable connection. Seems to happen within a few seconds and is not a big deal.

Form factor: slightly bigger than a USB Zip drive - sticks out just a little bit more.

It Works!

I work part-time for new church.. Funds are tight and I have installed 3 of these now and they work really good! Even when we are in a building with lots of signal interference.. I recommend to anyone looking for a cost effective solution.

This product replaces wireless functionality lost when the wireless card failed in my computer. Everything now works properly in my LAN.

Reilable device, could be stronger

(4 out of 5) by M. Geiger on Oct 11, 2009
Pro: The device was easy to install on the PC and the Airport base station had no trouble 'seeing' it.
Con: The signal however is 'low', whereas the airport card in the Macbook pro next to the PC is 'strong', and cards in aluminum cased Macs are notorious for weak signal strentgh.

Pro: Since the PC is on a cart on the floor and the usb slots are jammed together in back, the stick is inserted in the usb port in front and I hit it with my foot the other day, knocking the plastic casing off. The dongle still worked and the casing just snapped back on, so I'd say it is pretty durable.
Con: I wish it was articulated, so it could be folded up at a 90ยบ angle so it would be out of the way instead of sticking out.

I buy Belkin when I have a choice, because their products do tend to be very reliable.
