Perfect for travelers

Jun 3, 2007 - By Erick Pessoa

I use it cross-plataform (Windows x MacOS) with no problem. Fast, portable, sleek and without the need of a power charge, this driver is great if you want to download photos on a trip or transport large files like videos.

simple, lightweight, and reliable

Jul 14, 2007 - By Dennis J. Ryan Jr. (Massachusetts)

i bought this item mainly for storing music. i was a bit sceptical at first given the size, i was afraid it may become too hot after using it for hours on end; thankfully my worries were not justified. i can keep it hooked up to my computer and run programs all day and it stays cool to the touch. also i have just under 20,000 songs stored on my lacie as well as some of my other files and still have 1/3 of the drive space available. lightweight, easy to use - i am very happy with this product.

Fabulous

Jun 26, 2007 - By J. Krombein (Seattle, WA)

The only thing I would change about this is to offer it with a FireWire 800 option instead of USB. Otherwise, it's fast, reliable and well worth every penny.

160 GB LaCie Mobile Drive

Jul 3, 2007 - By R. Denney (Dadeville, AL)

This portable USB hard drive has met my expectations. I did not find the included back up software to be user friendly. I am using Windows backup utility instead. I am also using this drive to store music and other information to reduce the amount of data on my computers hard drive.

No problems so far, just plug and play. It is powered by the USB port.
