Works Great with a Dell Widescreen PC Monitor

(5 out of 5) by N. Green on Feb 4, 2009 (Minnesota, USA)
I used this to hook my XBOX 360 to a Dell Widescreen (1400x900) PC monitor and it works great. If you don't have RCA audio-in jacks on your monitor you will need a splitter to attach headphones or compatible speakers.

What I expected, but one thing I didnt...

(5 out of 5) by Daniel Durazo Jr. on Oct 17, 2009 (Yuma, AZ USA)
This cable looks solid, for the price, really *cant* complain. I was not looking for "professional" quality, because honestly, when you are hooking up to a 15-18" non-widescreen CRT monitor, are you really going to be able to tell the difference from this cable and a MS/Monster/other "superior" cable? Chances are: no.

Pros: Price [very cheap], gets the job done and has RCA audio connectors [I already have a RCA -> mini stereo jack adapter for headset/speakers], and all in all looks durable construction wise.

Cons: I wondered if it came with a FEMALE to FEMALE gender changer for the VGA 15 pin connector [because several other products come with one], which I came to find was not included. Not so much an issue since it is not claimed to come with one in the description, but would be helpful to know in advance.

All in all, if you *ARE NOT* trying to get quality that impresses video engineers, get this cable! It gets the job done and is *CHEAP*! Win-win IMO.
I'm not an expert, but if your tv/graphics card/etc supports HDMI cables, opt for that, because it is HD and audio all in one. But if you need a simple solution to hook up your Xbox 360 to your second monitor next to your normal PC monitor so you don't have to walk to the next room to play some GTA4/Dead Rising/Burnout Paradise on a normal television where the text is illegible due to the resolution, GET THIS! You will be glad you did! :)

Worth the money! Ships very quick! Mine shipped the next day after ordering [ordered on a Sunday around 3pm] and arrived within 4 days of shipping standard! Very impressed! Keep up the great work Amazon and suppliers!!

Cheep but works well,

(4 out of 5) by Joshua D. Kerr on Feb 14, 2009 (Hartford WI)
The cable I received has the same outputs and works identically to the Microsoft one. (I have both) The cable casing and plugs however are cheap looking. Its shiny hard plastic and feels much lower quality than the Microsoft one. Mine did have an optical out, though I did not test it.

Functionally with both 360's side by side connected to LCD monitors and Logitech X540/x530 speakers I cannot tell which has the MS cable and which has this one.

If I was on a budget I would defiantly buy this one again. If I was not then I would pick up the Microsoft cable.

No Optical

(4 out of 5) by L. Chittenden on Jan 14, 2009
Good quality for a 3rd party disposable cable. The dragon cable however doesn't have an optical (toslink, spdif) output, just the RCA stereo jacks. Not a big deal for most people using a VGA cable, but if you're going to plug it into a home theater for the extra resolution (read up on DVD upscaling limitations on the 360...) you probably want to find one with optical out for your surround sound.

Great cable for low price

(5 out of 5) by Robert Hadley on Sep 18, 2008
When I got this cable in the mail, I saw that the plastic casing it was in was a little beaten up. It didn't matter because when I got the cable out, I plugged it into my Xbox 360 and my monitor and the picture quality was amazing, amazing for only $3. There is no breaks in the cable, it has noticeable HD, and to top it off, optical audio input.

One downside, there is no HD~TV switch on the console's end, which I believe doesn't really matter since its producing in HD anyways.

Overall, this cable is really wonderful for the $9 I spent on it and it got here a day before I was expecting it
