I bought this on a visit to the US as it wasn't available in the UK. All I had seen were pictures and that was enough for me to want this. I was not disappointed. Lovely to look at; the envy of friends and a great sound for the size. The base unit is a cylinder about 9 inches long and the speakers which unscrew from each end are small but with great sound. I have replaced my hifi speakers with this as this is good enough to compete for sound and overwhelms with looks! The cables provided are not long enough so I had to buy phono cable extensions. Also the battery does not last long enough, perhaps a couple of hours playing time but it is possible to play this while plugged in to the mains. It is also a bit too heavy to carry around all the time. I don't really care about these niggles. I love it.

I really love these portable speakers. I'm buying my second set(after I had a water/beach incident in Hawaii) and maybe a third just to have on hand. The sound is very good, the mobility is egually as good, with the carry case I take them every where just about including vacations OTR. The two to three hour battery life works for me, for lengthy listening I do have an outlet handy. Can't get any better with portable/mobil speakers for my iPod and portable dvd player. Yeah, I have to buy more sets for when I wear one out. When I find something and it's really good, it's hard to find again. So far for four years I haven't found a set that can beat these.

I love this set of speakers. I have now bought 2 others for friends in the US. Shoptronics sent it off in very good time but UPS promised delivery on 22 May. All day on its tracking, it showed that delivery would be on time but around 5pm it rescheduled it for the 26th. Perhaps Shoptronics should consider another delivery company. I would give this an unreserved 5 star but giving it 4 because of poor choice of courier.

I just purchased this product last week from Amazon (reseller: Beach Audio) for $89.72 and now it's shot up quite a bit. it's the same item as iGo BoomTube H2O1 STWBT21 and it's great. Watched the Bourne Supremacy last night running off my laptop, epson projector and the boomtube, felt like a mini-theater setup. With the portability, rechargeable battery and ability to plug into any audio device including an adapter for cell phones, this is a great product.
