Makes the difference, but sensitive to mounting position.

I mounted this inside my camper, in a deep fringe area of northern Minnesota. Without it, I couldn't pull in more than a single nearby station. Now, I can pull in 4 area stations, with excellent clarity. It is very finicky about how well it works, relative to it's mounting position. Even with the adjustable antenna mast, it makes an important difference how the base unit is positioned, in order to get truly good reception.
