lifesaver

(5 out of 5) by Debbie Parrish on Sep 24, 2009 (Lansing Mi)
I found this mp3 player over 2 years ago. If I had any problems I telephoned the company and they were prompt in helping me . This player has helped me improve my swimming laps to a mile a day. I just tuck the player into the top of my tank suit and swim away.

Perfect! Exactly what I wanted!

Great product!
I've always wanted to listen to music while swimming laps!

Uses AAA batteries and USB stick drag-and-drop.

Doesn't have much space, but I don't think it needs it. You can still fit twenty times more songs on it than a CD, so it's fine with me!

When I first got it, I experienced some problems with drag that would pull the earbuds out of my ears enough for it to fill with water and completely mute the sound...I fixed this problem by looping the headphone cords through my goggles.

Great

I bought one to use in the pool for my exerrsize.
I have been ask at least 4 time where I got it.
256 is fine but sure limits source.
It keeps it dry have to keep extra battery in case.
I have tried others but not satisfied.

Not a bad little player

(4 out of 5) by Dana Jost on Nov 20, 2008
I've had mine for almost 1 year. Still works fine. I swim 1 hour 3-4 times a week. Change the battery every 1.5-2 months. My computer never would read the little disc, but I had read other reviews and knew to drag and drop; so I didn't bother. The bubble is a little bulky, but I twist the cords through my goggles, run them down my spine, and catch the bubble inside the center back of my suit. I have also found that if I am swimming hard, the wires come up over my arms more than I like and I can bringing it down my back and tuck the bubble into the front hip/leg of my suit. This stretches the cord and keeps it out of the way. This porbably wouldn't work with a very conservative cut suit. Mine is moderate cut hip. I did lose one of the silicon ear covers and they can be replaced for 2.50 plus 11 shipping and handling. I plan to just buy a new one and be more careful this time. That way I'll have an extra. Also, the website warns to keep the bubble loose when storing to prolong o ring life. This is probably why the other person had leaking. Overall I love mine and the price can't be beat. I would not hesitate to recommend this for lap swimmers. P.S. 256MB holds a little over 1 hour of music.

Reliable but bulky

(4 out of 5) by Lesley C. Kotlanger on Sep 26, 2008 (Waynesboro, PA United States)
I had some problems keeping the O ring from twisting in the center of the casing. At times, I did find water inside the casing and the mp3 player stopped working. Fortunately, it dried out and was able to work again which makes it somewhat reliable. I suggest applying vaseline to the outside of the casing to help seal the O ring and make it more waterproof. The earplug attachment to the casing works well and there is no need to do more than just push it in (unlike nu-dolphin where you have to screw in the earplugs.)
There is a poblem while swimming as the earplug cord tends to twist around my neck and the casing is bulky to wear. The music is easy to transfer in mp3 format. For the price, this is a great way to start out and you can use this for water aerobics!
