Great screen, great price

(5 out of 5) by Nonousa on Jun 21, 2008 (NJ, USA)
Setting up a home theater in my basement. I wanted a big electric screen to go with it. This one is great, so quiet and unlike other screens I have read reviews on, it do snot have any smell to it.
The only downside to it is that the power cord is set by default on the left side so if all your outets ar eon the right, it might be a problem.
Other than that, it is great for the price.

Excellent value for Money

(5 out of 5) by Always Satisfied on Jun 19, 2009
Although I paid the Amazon price, I find that compared to the first screen I bought (Elite 100H), the Accuscreen is great value for money for those on a low budget. Would recommend this screen for anyone looking for a sleek addition to a home theater.

Excellent prodcut

(5 out of 5) by P. J. Hauser on Mar 18, 2009 (IL)
I've had this screen up for a few weeks and I'm extremely pleased with it. Prior to this, I was using some white Roc-lon "project fabric" from the fabric store which was working well. But I wanted a motorized mount to allow easy access to the area behind the screen. I was pleasantly surprised that the picture quality was improved compared to my DIY version.

It's really a great product for the money. Actually, even if you spend more to get a better screen, the "better" screens also usually come with more limitations, such as limited viewing positions and projector placement options. For example, some screens require the project to be table mounted for the best reflection to the viewers. With this unit, I've got my Panasonic PT-AX100U mounted on the ceiling and it works excellent. There are no hot-spots and the picture looks great from any viewing angle, sitting or standing. So the bottom line is that this screen is perfect for my needs and it's just a bonus that it is affordable as well.

Incredible value

(5 out of 5) by M. Shields on Aug 16, 2008 (Bloomington, IL United States)
This screen is an incredible product for the price. The motor is smooth and quiet, and the screen quality is very good. It was a very good value to complete my home theater on a budget. My family loves it!

Another reviewer mentions the cord being only available on one side. A related thing I would mention is that the box holding the button controls and remote sensor are part of the cord, and this limits its placement. The locations of my outlets do not allow the sensor to be exposed when the screen is down. I don't really want a white box visible on the wall in my theater, but it also means that I have to hold the screen out and reach behind it to raise the screen.

Putting the remote sensor on the screen casing itself near the motor would be a nice improvement to this model.

Great screen, I'm a bit nervous about the electronics

This is a great screen. It's matte white surface should work with almost any projector. The motorized operation is quiet and smooth. I did not find the fact that the receiver box is on the cord the least bit annoying as some reviewers did. I simply hid the cord and used the RF remote (the unit comes with 2 remotes, IR and RF).
However I did notice a electronic "buzzing" noise one day when I walked over by the screen. It stopped when I touched the middle "stop" key on the remote, but still you may want to make sure that you hit this button after retracting the screen. Other than that this is a great product for the money.
