Great headphones if you are truly into sound quality

(5 out of 5) by R. Ellis on Nov 9, 2009 (USA)
I must say this is a great product. Good build quality and the over ear format makes it easier for people like me who like to listen to music whilst I work out and so on.
I used to own the Super Fi 5 Pro from Ultimate Ears also so I am using these headphones as a baseline for my review. Amazing, crisp sound quality with no distinct separation between frequency ranges. The earpieces may be a little large for some depending on your tastes. Bass is solid and concise with no distortion to the naked ear. The same applies for the high's.
The removable cords are the biggest plus with Ultimate Ears. Even if you damage your cord you can simply just swap them out for another cord with a small hit to the pocket rather than replacing the entire kit. This can be valuable for those who travel alot and your equipment might take a beating at times. You also get a ton of accessories with the headphones including the sound attenuator for those plane flights so that you dont damage your eardrum when the captain decides to chime in during your in-flight movie.
My only gripe with these headphones are the tips. The smallest ones seem slightly too small and then the mid-sized tips seem too big for my ears. This could also just be because of my ears as i had the same problem with the Super Fi 5 pro headphones.

All in all... great purchase... no regrets.

Beware of your warranty

(1 out of 5) by Pouterson on Oct 19, 2009
I purchased a pair of these in December of 2007. I just noticed that the wire connected to the right side earplug is fraying. I called about getting the phones repaired and they stated that there is only a 1 year warranty on the phones. $400 for a pair of head phones and they won't warranty shoddy workmanship.

Don't waste your money!! This is a rip off. The phones sound great but the quality of construction is horrible. Stay away!!!

BTW, these guys are now owned by Logitech. Beware!

Awsome

Everything is perfect, except that these headphones, as some of the people mentioned, require big ears :)

Not as my expectation in this price range

(3 out of 5) by Chan Wing Kin on May 27, 2009 (Macau)
I expect to have significant improvement on the clarity in overall when purchased TF10Pro, but after burning-in, I still found that the mid-treble is not having the transparency I expected in such high end IEM. In this matter, at least the Shure SE530 is slightly better.

May not meet expectations

The Ultimate Ears Triple Fi Pro are a breakthrough in the audio industry. I used to have the Super Fi Pro EB, which are a tad cheaper than this pair. However, I do feel that the Super Fi Pro EB's had a stronger sound than this pair.
Firstly, when you use the Triple Fi Pro, you hear every single little detail with FULL surround sound type audio. Any song that you heard with regular headphones transforms into a crazy experience. However, the bass (low range of the audio) is a tad weak, even with EQ's. The treble is extremely sharp even when you turn the treble down on iTunes, which hurts your ears listening at a medium-volume. For those who want the best music experience, these are highly recommended. However, if you can live with a normal treble and high bass audio, go for the UE Triple Fi Pro.
