I've had these for a couple years now and use them for my livingroom stereo. They are clean and bright with great sound, although the mid sound is a little flat. Definately need a sub to extend these to lower sounds.

Overall I like these although they lack warm sound in the mid and low end. If you like clear music without heavy resonation they are fine. I find them most lacking when listening to full bodied classical music. I find that instruments like the cello, obo and french horns aren't as rich as they should be. My sub makes up the double base and kettle drums.

These Athena speakers are great as front speakers in a surround system. I am using them with a Harmon Kardon surround system, similar to the Bose Acoustimass, which utilitzes subwoofer and small surround speakers. Compared to larger speakers, these look great and perform wonderfully.

I got these to replace older Onkyo stock speakers. Following the vein of an earlier review, these are not as loud or punchy. I definitely lost base going from a much larger speaker to these. My Sub is more than able to make up the difference. So I turned my system up a little and turned the surrounds down, no big deal. But- I also got a much cleaner sound. I can play Iron Man at much higher levels and still retain clarity in the sound. We also picked up the ws-60 center and man does it sound great. I would never go back to stock speakers. The upgrade was more than worth it. They also look fantastic and the wife is really pleased with how they blend in with the TV setup so well.

The Athena WS-100 floorstanding speakers are a great product and the fact that they are relatively inexpensive makes them a tremendous value. I have three pair of the WS-100, grouped with the WS-60 center speaker, the AS-P4000 subwoofer and an Onkyo TX-NR905 receiver and the sound produced is outstanding. The speakers provide a full-range of sound--clean highs and rich lows. I highly recommend the product.

I looked at the reviews and the spec. They all look great. I have a klipsch quintet SL and im happy with it but looking for more power. The klipsch has a similar dimension and spec of 1" tweeter and 3.5 midwoofer except klipsh only has 3 drivers and this has 9 drivers. You would think would get more power. I hooked it up and immediately the volume is like 8 notches below. In fact I could barely hear the sound I have turn the volume up. The sound gets better if you make it really loud but if I do that the rest of my speakers gets too loud. My hk 347 receiver allows me to adjust the volume. Overall disappointed with these speakers though they look AWESOME just sound like small satellite speakers. The base speakers looks great too. The speaker wire is too small i'm using 10 gauge wire and probably max that would fit is 14 gauge.
