It works very well

(5 out of 5) by Sal on Mar 27, 2008
I have the DLink router (be sure you get the C revision)- so I needed a card for my desktop in another building. I dont have open card slots so I tried this USB "disk"... it works great. I plugged in to a USB port, XP found the device and I loaded the software. Software is dummy proof and shows info very clearly.

Pro:
Speed is good. Security is good. Has a green light on the disk for connection status. The disk is very light and has notches to mount on a wall. I have never dropped or lost connection with signals over 50%.

Con:
Cord for is too short- about 2 feet. Disk is about the size of a coaster and is an inch thick.

Bought it for $59.99.

works like magic - I just love it

I share a wireless network with my friend on the different levels of the apartment complex, making it difficult to get signal especially when my apartment is in the corner of the building. With the magic of D-link rangebooster, it strengthens the signal from 'low' or 'no wireless connection' to 'medium'! Although there were some little warning and error message when installed, I restarted the computer and problems disappeared. Thanks to this little guy, I can just work conveniently at my desk and don't have to move closer to the door anymore :D

Great Deal

The price was right, and it was shipped out the next day. I asked the seller a question, and got a response in the time period stated by the seller. The box was torn up in a way not possible by shipping, and it was not factory sealed as stated, but the product itself had no damage, and worked fine. Overall, a great buy!
Just as a warning though, don't get expediated shipping if you think you might want to cancel your order. The seller sends out his packages before checking his e-mail for cancellations. You can't really consider fast shipping a con, though.

Easy Install - Fantastic Range

By straight line, about 50 ft from my D-Link "N" server. That's thru two floors and many walls in a 1923-built (very solid) home and I still get a 40-50% signal. Couldn't be happier. BTW, a brand new D-Link "g" adapter couldn't begin to do this.
