good quality viewer, but power hungry

(4 out of 5) by Big E on Nov 9, 2008
The ability to be able to share images (meaning have people look at images downloaded to the P-3000) without lugging a laptop around is great, especially since the viewer is of such high quality.

When I try to transfer images between camera and the P-3000 in the field, however, it asks to be plugged into the wall. If the rechargeable battery can't handle the transfers by itself, it would be nice to at least have a 12-volt adapter.

I also give the unit high marks for its plug and play functionality. The owners manual is quite easy to follow.

So, to summarize, love the image quality and ease of use, but find it demanding, in regards to power demands.

This unit was exactly what we were looking for - a way to take selected pictures with us for friends to view. The picture quality is great and it is very easy to load the pictures to the unit. We absolutely love it!

Epson P-3000 40GB

(5 out of 5) by Brett Postin on Jan 31, 2008
The P3000 works very well and has some handy features that I didn't even know it had. Operation is straight forward and simple. I would buy again if I needed another one.

As advertised

This player is what I was led to believe and look forward to using it on a upcoming trip to Africa. It does download my Lexar Wa compact flash cards both thru the CF port as well as from my camera thru the USB connection.
