Good enough...

(4 out of 5) by cgreenland on Mar 1, 2008 (San Diego)
This is a good item, but only when you consider the price. In the words of the professional who did the installation, "it sort of throws your TV around," which is true. The mount has a tendency to swing forward a few inches unless you click the articulating arm all the way back into the wall mount plate; to do so takes a spirited push.

I probably wouldn't feel comfortable moving my 46" LCD around all day on this mount. It is perfectly adequate, however, the couple of times a week I use it to make the TV visible from the kitchen table.

Distance from the wall is not too bad either. All in all a good product for the price.

NOT RECOMMENDED - Very poor quality

(1 out of 5) by amazonlover818 on May 26, 2008 (Los Angeles, CA)
I purchased this mount for my 50" Panasonic TV. When I first mounted the TV, I thought that the mount looked very flimsy - specifically, the arm itself seemed too weak to hold such a large/heavy TV - and therefore I was very cautious and limited the amount that I extended the TV to only about 1-2 times, and 30 minutes max, per week. Unfortunately, my prediction came true and now, after about 3 months of use (again, only about 30 minutes per week), the arm is so bent that it looks like it is going to break in half. I must now purchase another mount (this time I'm getting one that has two arms).

I definitely do not recommend this mount for a 50" TV (personally I'd avoid it for ANY size TV). There are 2 things I failed to keep in mind when I purchased this product: (1) "you get what you pay for", and (2) "if something seems too good to be true, it usually is".

This product is VERY poorly made and I would definitely not trust it with my valuable TV. I suggest that people spend more money on a mount to ensure that their expensive televisions are safe - this mount should be avoided by all means.

Very good solid articulating Plasma & LCD TV wall mount

(5 out of 5) by G. G. Galang on Feb 5, 2008 (San Francisco, CA USA)
I just installed this with my Samsung LNT4065F LCD TV and it's solid. I was a little hesitant at first but after reading the reviews, I was more at ease.

Cons:

All the hardware was included. However, the washers did not fit so I had to get some on my own.

If you want it flat against the wall, this does stick out more than a simpler wall mount.

Instruction manuals could be improved for flow/readability.

Doesn't look as pretty from the back if you have light colored walls.

Pros:

Feels very solid.

You get a lot of viewing angles

Easy to install even with the instruction manual shortcomings.

I would recommend this again - but make sure you have wall studs and your TV is compatible.

Digicom PMA-772 TV Mount

(5 out of 5) by Bill Burr on Dec 1, 2007 (Clifton, NJ)
Purchased this item for my Toshiba REGZA 42" LCD TV and have been very satisfied. It seems to support the weight of my TV just fine, and articulating movement is very fluid. The only downside is the installation of the mount cost me almost as much as the item itself.
