I bought this to play StepMania on my computer, and it works really well. All that is needed is to install the driver that comes with the converter, open Stepmania, and go into the options and assign the correct buttons. It took a little while for me to figure out how to get it going, but once I did, it worked perfectly! It comes highly recommended, and the price is right!

I bought three of these adapters, and I don't regret it a bit. If you already have Playstation or Playstation 2 controllers, this is much cheaper and more efficient than buying extra USB controllers. I've found that almost all PC games that allow you to use a controller will take this adapter just fine. The second player feature works perfectly, too, so all you have to do is plug it in, configure it in-game, and you're both ready to go. I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever with this device, and I've owned it for about two years now. The other two I bought were gifts for my friends, and they've reported no problems either.

My only complaint is that my Logitech wireless PS2 controller doesn't work with this (main reason I got it, too). Otherwise, both Vista and XP recognized it right away (no need to install drivers from the cd) (by the way, my wireless pad still didn't work after I installed the drivers). FYI, I noticed that this thing always acts as though it was plugged in last. For example, plug it in, and it uses gamepad slots 1 & 2. Then plug in a PC gamepad, and your PS2 controllers suddenly use slots 2 & 3.

the adapter is easy to use and good quality, i only have one problem, that i dont remember where i put the manual and i dont know hoy to switch of PSX to PS2 and that give me problems, if someone know what buttons i need to push to switch it please put it here in the reviews.

What I received was NOT the product shown in the photo. It came in a generic carton box and it didn't work properly. I had to order from somewhere else again.
