I just bought this one but have used my old Powerbook version for years. I write a lot and have worn the letters off of a couple keyboards. With this shield that won't happen. It also protects the keyboard from food crumbs. Yes, I know that I shouldn't eat at the computer but I do.

The shield does take a bit of getting used to. Honestly, it feels a bit strange for a while but it doesn't get in the way of typing. After a couple of weeks I realized that I didn't notice the surface any more.

If you don't have problems like mine and don't eat around your laptop then the protector is just an added expense. If you live with your laptop always in reach then do consider getting one.

I am very satisfied with this product so far. Ironically, about ten minutes after I put on the keyboard cover, I spilled my drink on my computer. Nothing got in my keyboard :). The cover comes folded up in a little box and takes a few days to fully straighten out, but other than that it definitely serves its purpose...

If you love the color blue, then you will love this product. Its still see through so you can see the keys just fine and it protects the keyboard. Its also very easy to clean. Highly recommend!

It feels great when you type on it and it protects the keys from getting crumbs or other things underneath.

After spending $2500 on a MacBook Pro, the last thing you need is crud collecting in the keyboard. This little item slides on, stays in place, and works great, keeping my investment in "brand new" condition. Well worth the investment.
