Works great.

(4 out of 5) by Andrew M. Lyon on Jan 11, 2009 (Los Alamos, NM)
This product works great. I use it for my PS3, and so far every port is working just fine. One think I wish it did was charge my PS3 remote without having to have the PS3 on. So if you were looking at this for that option, then you are out of luck. But otherwise it works great.

Lasted less than six months

(2 out of 5) by Billy Hollis on Dec 30, 2008 (Nashville, TN United States)
The initial install experience was good, and I like the form factor.

Unfortunately, after less than six months, devices plugged into the hub began behaving erratically. Mouse pointers would jump all over the screen, my SmartPhone couldn't get a consistent connection to synch, etc. The same devices plugged straight into a USB port on the computer worked fine, so it was definitely the hub that went bad. It had the same power source as everything else, so it's unlikely that there was an external cause such as a power surge.

I'm now shopping for another hub, and I won't be getting another one of these.

USB Hub to the rescue

(5 out of 5) by Aquabarrel - dot -Com on Nov 19, 2008 (Maryland)
Great little hub. Heavy metal base to weight it down. Comes with a piece of foam to insert between the hub and base to keep it from sliding out of the base. Blue light special light (Kmart still has blue light don't they? or I'm I really that old?) is covered over with a piece of duck-tape.

Beware! Lose your wireless mouse and keyboard

(1 out of 5) by Francis X. Meaney on Jun 26, 2008 (Boston, MA United States)
No sooner had this device been installed to replace a 4-port USB hub than I lost my wireless mouse and keyboard. It's, shall we say, hard to do anything with your computer without one or the other. In the course of trying to get things going again, even after removing the device, the problem lingered. When finally mouse and keyboard were working it turned out the off/on manual closedowns of the computer with the main switch had corrupted Office Outlook 2007 files. It took almost three hours on the phone with HP to get Outlook back. Yes, I sent it back for a refund.
