Home Kit
(4 out of 5) by Ian Tom on May 5, 2008The Home Kit is great for how affordable it is. The downsides for me were that neither the earphone or antenna cords are long enough. It's not dissapointing but a little inconvenient because you can't move around very much. You need to connect your radio to an external stereo or home entertainment system and listen to it that way if you want to lay on your bed, sofa, floor, pace around etc. The remote control is great.
Not Up To Snuff
(1 out of 5) by R. Novak on Jan 31, 2008I had no problems with the order or shipping thru Amazon and for a few days, this unit worked well. But after a week or two I received the "check cradle" message and the unit would no longer charge even though the radio works well in the car charger.
Great Home Kit for XM

Just remember to do that and you should have no problem. I connected to my Bose Wave system in a matter of seconds. Turn volume up on you SkyFi3, and then adjust more with whatever you hook it up to. Great unit.

Altec Lansing XM3120 ($16.95) is another option

This unit works with skyfi3 (use the included Roady XT adapter) but, the volume adjustment knob on the XM3120 will NOT work with the SKYFi3. To adjust volume, use the volume controls on the side of the SKYFi3, or the SKYFi3's remote control.
The skyfi3 radios may also work with Roady XT home kits, but I haven't looked into this.
I ordered the Altec Lansing XM3120 yesterday; I like this unit better than any home kit.
New comment: I just received the Altec Lansing unit, and its volume knob WORKS. To change the volume you can use this knob, or the skifi3 remote control (or the radio volume).
