worth the effort, worth the price

This kit from Micro Tools is well thought out and comprehensive with enough materials to keep a casual shooter well stocked for a long time.
I recently discovered dirt on my D200's sensor filter while shooting at Crater Lake. After successfully blowing most of it off with a new foot pump, one last dust-off for good measure left me with a much worse situation. My aim was poor and I believe I blew lube from the mirror assembly onto the filter. In the next test shot the dirt was visible on the cameras LCD (no need for Photoshop Auto-Levels) and clearly visible on the filter with the naked eye. Ouch.
Fortunately, I had ordered this kit the day before and it arrived the day after my misadventure with the foot pump. I followed the detailed instructions and with one series of swipes I was able to safely remove 99+% of the dirt! The 2 remaining particles are barely visible at F22 so unlikely to be visible in normal shooting. As simple as this process was I could likely have had a completely clean sensor filter with one more pass and a clean PecPad, but after my fiasco with the foot pump I thought, "Leave well enough alone!"
This is a simple process that anyone capable of handling a D-SLR and not drop a lens should be able to handle.
Thank you Micro Tools!

Well Worth the money, safe and easy!

This kit works great. I safely cleaned both VERY DIRTY light sensors on my Rebel XT and my 20D Canon units. Its fast, easy to use, safe and absolutely gets the job done.

A lot of people are "scared to death" to clean these sensors, what you don't know is that your not really cleaning the sensor, but rather a thin cover that protects the sensor.

I have it on 1st hand knowledge that when you send your camera out to Canon.. to be "professionally cleaned" guess what they use?

Yup - this same kit.

Its important to note - that if you have a newer DSLR with a "self cleaning" sensor - you should NOT use this kit. There is another kit for those cameras - they have a different type of coating on the light sensor.

Ive only had to clean the cameras a few times. I don't try (who does?) to get a lot of dust in the camera. Once cleaned - my sensor stays clean for some time (a few months).. so if your not swapping lenses a lot - chances are you'll only have to do this once or twice a year.

This is great product

I had been putting off cleaning my sensor (there was even a blop when I got the camera 4 years ago).
This kit contains everything. And now my sensor is squeaky clean! And the company, this is the first time
I used them and highly recommend them.

Great kit

This kit comes with everything you need to keep your camera sensor clean. It comes with printed instructions, but it's easier to search the web for cleaning vids. Don't be an idiot that pays somebody $80.00 to do something this simple. It'll save you a fortune.

Excellent product

I encountered terrible dust particles on my sensor that I couldn't remove from using the dust blower. I used the liquid and the wand and removed them easily and quickly. I did not damage my sensor either. This is by far the best cleaning kit I have seen. Every photographer should have this cleaning kit.
