Look No Further!!

Oct 28, 2007 - By MATTICUS (San Diego, C.A.)

WOW, I couldn't believe what i saw when i first opened up this package. This wire is true to guage specifications without an unnecessarily thick insulator to cheat on the cost. The first thing you notice is how massive each wire is and yet how extremely flexible it is at the same time. You have to see it for yourself. The trick is that they use the proper amount of copper strands to complete the full 0/1 GA. wire, but they are packed into the insulation loosely ( relative to other wire samples )so that they can flex and bend to fullest. The insulation is a very thin, high temp, teflon-like rubber insulation that bends as acutely as the wire strands inside, which further boosts the flexibility of the wire. Phenominal stuff this kit is made of, but what is more impressive is all the add ons that go along with the monstrous wire. For instance, the power wire that is directed from the main battery comes out of the package ready to bolt on, complete with the terminal lug attached, three-or-so feet of nylon sheething,( to protect the insulation that is exposed to the engine bay )and a dedicated spot that is a measured distance from the battery terminal in which to splice in the fuse block. How user friendly is that? The three feet of matching ground wire is the same, with the exception of the nylon sheething and fuse block. The kit comes complete with one long power wire as mentioned, three feet of ground wire, two five foot lengths of 4 GA.( which are engineered with the same principles as the forementioned power wire )which serve to accurately feed a two amplifier set up. Also are included, two 0/1 to 4 GA. (1 to 2) splitters to direct the current, one 300 AMP fuse block with 300 AMP fuse, and remote wire. I looked at many different types of wiring kits and for the application i intended to use this kit for, I.E. two high power amplifiers, there is no better choice. Some kits out there are close but what really sells the product is that this kit comes complete with equal size ground wire as power wire, which is a huge deal when you are sucking up major amperage. Also, the kit comes with the two shots of 4 GA wire to accurately split the current from the 0/1 GA wire equally to the two amplifiers, and back out to the ground point with out sacrificing power. With most other kits, that is not an option. The kit includes two splitters that are perfect for splitting up the power wire and collecting the ground wires from each of the amps. No other kit out there is as conclusive and well put togehter. The only thing that this kit does not include is a third shot of ground wire to replace the negative battery terminal( if not then you might as well run a 4 GA power and ground wire, because you are only as strong as your weakest link ). I will be replacing that asap.
The setup: One Alpine CDA-9885
One Alpine PDX-4.150
One Alpine PDX1.1000
One Alpine SWR-1242D
Two Alpine SPR-17S components ( front )
Two Alpine SPR-13C coaxials ( rear )
One Kicker PKD1
Undecided on CAP
Lots of Dynamat Extreme ( good deal )
Lots of Second Skin Sludge
All squeezed neatly into the cabin of a pearl white '95 Civic :)

Bottom line....Good buy, good gear!!

A must have for high wattage systems.

This wire is more than thick enough to handle pretty much any wattage amplifiers, and all of the hardware it includes makes it very simple to add a capacitor and more than one amplifier. Overall incredible product, and some of the most flexible cable ive ever worked with.
