Works well for me

(5 out of 5) by P. Steverson on Apr 2, 2007 (Texas)
This mouse is just a tad smaller than the one connected to my desktop. I like the size. My husband has a tiny one for his laptop and while he suffers with it he sometimes looks at my longingly. At 6'4" his mouse looks incredibly small in his hands.

I bought this one to work with my macbook. No problems so far. Fits nicely into the STM bag I also bought for my macbook.

Only one drawback and it's not so much the fault of the mouse as it is my macbook. I'm right handed and the USB ports are on the left side. The retractable mouse cord barely comfortably makes it around the back of the macbook. Just something to be aware of.

Perfect travel mouse

(5 out of 5) by Rob on Jul 5, 2008 (Eatontown, NJ United States)
I've had allot of travel mice over the last few years - and all of them either broke or just wore out too quickly. I don't know if this one will last, but I can already say it's the most comfortable and most convenient one I've had yet.

I have large hands and my girlfriend has small hands, but both of us find this mouse very comfortable to use. It's big enough that it feels like a real mouse, and small enough that it's easy to take along.

I don't go for wireless travel mice. They're heavy due to the batteries, and of course batteries can always run out. And then there's the little adapter you have to use which is awkward and means you now have 2 things to carry, 2 things to remember, and 2 things to lose. So I feel that if I have to plug something into a USB port on my laptop with a heavier wireless mouse that needs batteries, I might as well just stick with a lighter corded mouse. And with this mouse, the cord is retractable and works well.

The only time I'd buy a wireless travel mouse is if I had a laptop that had built-in bluetooth support. Then I'd buy a wireless bluetooth mouse. That way no adapter would be required. But I'd still be concerned about the extra weight and drawbacks of using a mouse that needs it's own batteries.

Very comfortable and efficient

I know a mouse is good when it becomes an extension of my hand. The Kensington Ci25m is just that: it fits perfectly (I'd say I have an average woman's sized hand), its surfaces are non-slip and with a nice texture, it is responsive and precise. The scroll wheel is covered with texturized rubber and works very well. I got the Ci25m to replace a Targus retractable laptop mouse that died on me, and which I liked very much. This one is as good as that one, if not better (we'll just have to wait and see how long it lasts!). I insist on retractable mice to go with my laptop so as to avoid cable tangle, and don't want wireless models because of the hassle -- receptor to be misplaced, extra batteries and weight, etc. The Kensington is large enough to be a "regular" mouse, not quite the tiny size we see on so many laptop mice, and it suits me just fine.

A little BIG mouse

(5 out of 5) by Nathan Beauchamp on Jan 15, 2009 (Oak Park, IL USA)
I purchased the Ci25m to accompany my new dell mini 9. After a few weeks of use I am happy to report that it is quite a nice mouse, and much better than other 'mico' mice I've used in the past. First off, the size is a little larger than some, but for me, it feels like the perfect balance between small enough to be ultra portable and large enough to be usable for longer periods of time.

The sidewalls are ribbed rubber that provides a good grip. The buttons are smooth and feel well put together. The mouse is made solidly, including the retractable cord wheel which also works well.

The mouse tracks like a full size optical mouse, and I've noticed no apparent read errors when using it on a variety of surfaces, including a desk top, a table top at a restaurant, and even the leather of my living room sofa.

I've very pleased with this little mouse's performance and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a small travel mouse. Bear in mind that there are smaller options out there, so if you value size over anything else, the Ci25m is NOT the smallest available option. If on the other hand you value performance and ease of use over longer time periods, this is a perfect choice.

The perfect mouse for my uses

(5 out of 5) by kansaspoet on Aug 8, 2008 (Kansas)
I have a small computer laptop table and this mouse works perfectly in the small space I have. I like that no software was needed, just plug it in and go. An added feature for me is the cable that adjusts to the desired length, leaving no excess cable to mess with. The mouse works quite well, adapting well to my laptop.
