The picture does not reflect the beauty of this case. The zipper goes less than half way down each side and you can insert your 13" macbook in such a way that Power and USB are still connected.
If you have a bag that is not designed to hold a computer, this case is great for packing your mac book to go.

As soon as I got my MacBook I knew I was going to have to get a sleeve for it. My previous laptops had been MacBook Pros and made out of metal. My white plastic unibody MacBook seemed too vulnerable to slide into my backpack. So I got this sleeve. As far as build quality, I'd say it's first rate. It fits my MacBook like a glove and it didn't break the bank. The sleeve comes in colors, but I opted for the black/wasibi version as it was the first one I'd seen and I wasn't too particular, well, I didn't want girly pink. The sleeve looks good and does it's job, keeping my MacBook scratch free as I tote it around.

I have the white macbook and I could not live with out this sleeve! I go to college and i take my macbook everywhere. I can just throw it in to any one of my bags with out worrying it getting damaged. It is very good material and I have had it for four months and it still looks brand new.

Ok. Here's the deal. I already have a macbook pro with a speck satin case on it. I'm sure a lot of folks are wondering "if you already have a hard shell case why buy a sleeve?" Well let me break it on down for y'all. The speck satin case is wonderful..the perfect macbook case, however it does not cover up the drive and ports on the sides of the Macbook Pro. This is not ideal for travel when using a laptop backpack (which is what I'll be using) because backpacks tend to be a heaven for debris, at least in my opinion. You don't want spiral notebook residue (you know those little tabs that hang around in the spiral when you rip off a page), dust, or that bag of chips that just exploded when your physics book shifted in your backpack to get into your machine. This is where the sleeve comes in.
At first touch the LA Robe is rather stiff. I actually like that in comparison to a normal neoprene sleeve mostly due to the fact that it doesn't give as easy as neoprene does. The neoprene sleeves tend to be real squishy and really don't offer that much protection especially from hard bumps. The LA Robe changes that by offering a memory foam interior (or whatever they call it) which gives added support and also protection. As far as the fit goes I noticed a lot of reviewers saying that there was extra wiggle room when the Macbook Pro was placed in the sleeve by itself. This actually became the selling point for me because the speck case adds a little more to the Macbook exterior size wise. Inside the sleeve the fit is perfect. Not really to bulky and not a whole bunch of wiggle room left either.
Another factor for my purchase was the price. $24.99 with free shipping, as apposed to 39.99+tax, and the reviews on amazon.com were high (I noticed incase wasn't getting too much love). I live in CA where taxes are almost 10% and sometimes over that depending on where you are in the state. Bummer. You can't go wrong with a cheaper price for a real durable sleeve.
In the end I believe I made the right choice. Just gives me a little more piece of mind when I'm on the go. Make up your own mind folks....but don't let the sales folks snow you into buying the fancy smancy stuff when there are other alternatives out there. PEACE!

If you're looking for a review on whether or not this is a great fit for the 13.3" MacBook it was designed for, read another review.
I ordered this for my hp Pavilion dm3 and it's a great fit, and the sleeve itself was extremely well worth the $25. The "memory foam" thing is no joke, this sleeve is thicker than most and actually seems to offer some form of protection and not only serve a cosmetic purpose.
