Great!

(5 out of 5) by Lenton K. Goforth on Aug 24, 2008 (Springfield, OR)
I was very disappointed with the Philips High Performance Amplified Indoor Uhf/Vhf/Fm/HDTV Antenna, then hesitant to purchase the Eagle Apsen DTV2Buhf due to it's size, but this bad boy works wonderfully and is not so large that it is obtrusive in the open in my living room. It looks great, and it works very well. I was getting only 5 channels. I'm now getting 9! If you're looking for a DTV antenna, this is the one to get.

Don't be alarmed that this antenna is UHF only. Most DTV stations are not VHF. What is said to be channel 9, might be labeled that but sent out on channel 34. The old number is preserved, but the actual frequency is UHF. For complete info on your local stations visit http://www.juggling.org/bin/un.cgi/map-find to get your latitude and longitude, then enter them at http://www.2150.com/broadcast/default.asp to find out what stations are broadcasting, what frequency they're using, and where their towers are located. Chances are that the Eagle Apsen DTV2Buhf is right for you.

A great alternative to the more expensive Terrestrial DB-2

(5 out of 5) by Riley Sheckler on Sep 28, 2007
I ordered this antenna to go with my HD tv because it was the same design as the Terrestrial DB-2, but over twice as less and with free shipping. I am very pleased with this antenna. After hooking it up indoors and did the auto channel search, 42 channels came up. I deleted the analog ones and still had plenty of digital ones. Every channel had all the bars on the signal meter, except for two of them which had all the bars but one. The picture quality is awesome, it looks like cable and its all free! I also don't get any of those digital drop outs where the screen goes all blocky. I think this is a great antenna, and I'd recommend it to anyone!

Great DTV antenna

(5 out of 5) by Chingas Lee on Dec 3, 2007 (Tucson, AZ United States)
This antenna worked better than expected for it's size and price.
Roof top mounted.
It's wide beam width allowed reception from DTV stations at 136 to 188 degrees with no problem at a distance of 10 to 50 miles with 6-7 of 8 signal strength bars on DTV broadcast. Also worked good on analog broadcast.
It also worked very well on a nearby hi-band VHF channel 13.
This is a directional antenna so any stations on the back side will not be received.
This worked better than my old 8-bay channel master.
It is made for outdoor use but because of it's small size it could be used indoors.

The Dingus Works! (You know, for kids...)

(3 out of 5) by ABC Dude on Aug 3, 2008 (SF Bay Area)
This antenna works much better than the rabbit ears or the old UHF loop. I get strong signals from the major network stations. I am in the middle of a metropolitan area, 3.8 & 2.5 miles away from the 2 major broadcasting towers, so the antenna works just as well indoors as it does outside. If I lived in the outlying suburbs, I would buy the DB4 or DB8 and mount it outdoors on a mast. The plastic bracket which holds the balun (adapter that connects the 75 ohm coaxial cable to the twisted-pair wire) is a bit fragile. I downloaded & studied plans for a Do-It-Yourself version of this antenna and decided that it's cheaper and easier to buy one of these than to build one.

OTA HD for free

(5 out of 5) by Frank R on Jan 7, 2008 (NJ)
Just a terrific antenna. With a couple of splitters and a drop amp now every ATSC device has an excellent signal. I placed this antenna in my attic. I am close to NYC but I get a good signal from Long Island about 30 miles away.

I am not disappointed with this purchase.

When you consider the price of cable, this is a bargain that keeps on giving.
