Absolutely amazing, solid and robust

(5 out of 5) by G. Gindele on Feb 10, 2008 (Delaware)
I was surprised how heavy the box was when arrived. The LX dual has only solid metal load bearing parts, plastic only plays role as cable ties or aesthetic cover. It feels robust and reliable. The box had all the necessary tools to assemble and mount the monitors. For heavier over 20" LCD panels the spring in the arm will need to be adjusted, the adjustment tool is part of the package. I am amazed by the build quality and the value for the money, specially when I see more expensive products with plastic joints on the market.

Accomodates maximum desktop thickness of 1 7/8"

(5 out of 5) by G. Gallagher on May 8, 2009 (San Francisco, CA)
I didn't see any mention of how thick a desk this unit could mount to so I figured it could mount to varying thickness. Unfortunately, my desk is granite on top of stainless silver frame so at 2.75" it is pretty thick around the desktop edges. If you order this unit, be sure your desktop thickness is 1 7/8" or less -- or else the mounting clamp will not fit. Too bad for me as the unit is nice quality and the silver finish would have matched my stainless steel desk frame very well.

Very sturdy construction, man is it bulky!

(4 out of 5) by M. Stavchansky on Dec 27, 2008 (Austin, TX)
So I really like the stand as a whole.

I am using it with 2 24 inch WFP2408 monitors from Dell and they look beautiful. I just wanted to tell everyone that the space of desktop will be available as you would expect, at least below the monitors, however you might not realize that the more room you have behind your desk the more flexible you will be able to be.

Because my desk is against a wall, I really do not have the flexibility to place my monitors anywhere I want and perhaps a more compact device would cut it down, perhaps not.

Additionally I did not see where it indicated the clamp would be sufficient to handle both 24 inch monitors so I drilled a whole into the desk and placed the stand through it securely tightening the apparatus. It is holding like a champ even when I am moving things around.

I am very impressed with the construction of the device I guess I just wished it could be more compact, but I assume there is a give and take with that.

Great improvement for any desk

(4 out of 5) by B. J. Pick on Dec 7, 2007 (Half Moon Bay, CA)
Installation is very easy. Includes everything needed for almost any desk. Instructions are very well done. The laptop mount is easy to install and works very well. I am very happy that it includes everything for two displays and the parts for converting one to a laptop.

Adjusting is fairly easy and only took a few rounds to get very close to perfect.

Looks beautiful making the desk look better than the original display stand.

I have been very satisfied with the desk mount. I have a 24" display mounted on one arm and a laptop on the other. It makes it very easy to move the display to watch movies at night and use with the computer during the day.

Two minor complaints. The hi-quality DVI cables I used are too thick for the cable slots. I wish they had made larger aluminum cable routs. They only include locking screw for the laptop tray. I would also like one for the display as well (I have no interest to rotate the display which it does very easily)

Very Sturdy and Attractive for Dual Monitor Setups

(5 out of 5) by Msg43 on May 11, 2009 (Miami, FL USA)
I am using two big Dell 24" monitors in portrait mode, and find that although this is probably above max rated weight for the product it handles them pretty well. Setup is easy and system looks good (for what it is).
