We purchased two of these. One of them works great, the other one had a problem. The left side of the screen doesn't show any numbers. Since we didn't realize that until we had already opened it, put batteries in, tried to set it...it's not returnable to Amazon. The one that works is great though, ear bud seems a little large, but otherwise good.

first of all in the 21st century I would think that engineers would have figured out how to get radio reception. In 1895 Guglielmo Marconi sent the first radio transmissions. I would think that in 112 years Science would have figured out how to do the same thing but they failed on this product.

As with most radios only a couple of really commercial stations with like 5 million watts of broadcasting power come in. So my solution is to attach a piece of copper wire to the battery spring in order to boost the antennas' strength. I should not have to do this.
2) I put this radio in my pocket and there is no lock function so if I bump into anything while I'm working I lose my channel and have to search through yet another needlessly confusing menu in order to try and get my station back.

I am in the process of looking for another radio for carrying around with me while I work. I had good little RIO mp3/am-fm radio player that was smaller than this, plus it had a lock function( I don't remember the name). I think I might get another one.

Again do not buy, this thing is BIG, DUMB, LAME.

I use this little guy at the gym almost everyday. I discovered if you buy a new set of headphones the reception comes in a lot better. Mine are sony.
Simple to use. The rubber sides protect against falling on the ground. Before this I had a similar panasonic armband radio. That thing quit working on me after a few months.

I put new batteries into the radio and the screen flickered a bit, but none of the buttons would do anything. I am going to order a different radio for my workout.
