XM Radio Boombox
I was somewhat apprehensive ordering this considering some of the bad reviews the SA10001 had. This unit must be its successor. Worked great right out of the box. Even though I live in a rural area I had no problem picking up a good signal. Sound quality is good and the bass/treble controls (selected on XM receiver and not on boombox) seem to have good range. Only problem I have with the unit is no where to store the power adapter. So far happy with the purchase and a good way to utilize my SkyFi 2 as a portable unit.

Good little unit
First, let me tell you what the unit isn't.
It is not a several thousand dollar BOSE surround system.
It is not a several hundred dollar CD system.
If that is what you are looking for lay out the cash.
This is a darn good unit to listen to XM on and it works great. Did it work right out of the box? NO! Did I call Delphi and get the problem solved over the phone? YES!
Like one person that couldn't get a signal, I had the same problem, the solution, the radio was not seated securely in the cradle. I was instructed to turn the unit around and place my eight fingers on the bottom of the box and my two thumbs on top of the inserted radio and firmly push to securely seat. Presto problem solved. The more I use this unit the easier it fits.
To the person that said there is no bass or trebel or volume control, use the settings on the radio or better yet use the remote control supplied with the SkiFi2 and it is perfect.
Finally, I have found this unit works inside the house as well as outside without having to put the antenna outside.
Again for what this unit is, an $80.00 dollar radio, I think the sound is fine and it does have all the features anyone needs for the beach, backyard, boat, listening to the ball games whatever.

Economical solution to satellite radio portability!
Worked great right out of the box. Fast shipping with tracking. Simple hookup. Eliminates the cumbersome wires to keep XM with me anywhere with one subscription. Sound is good and reception is better. Very happy with purchase!

Okay, not great. Good price I guess.
This is my second boombox by Delphi. My first lasted about a year and then the bass chanel quit working. I don't know if it was in the pre-amp or the speakers, but all I had was treble. Prior to it blowing out, I kept hearing an occasional burst of static, which occurred periodically for about a month. Unfortunately, it happened about a month after the warranty was up. This new box is apparently the upgraded version of the previous model, and so far so good. Except, once in awhile, I hear that burst of static. Also, Delphi hasn't really corrected the low grade hum you can hear when the volume is on mute. This product is a great idea with a lot of potential. I just wish Delphi would pull their heads out of their rear ends and hire some real audio engineers.
